Blumio
is a German rapper of Japanese descent known as Blumio. His 2005 single "Meine Lieblingsrapper" debuted at number 2 on the German '' Urban TRL'' charts. Early life and career Kuniyoshi was born 1985 in Hilden, a town located near Düsseldorf, home to the largest Japanese community in Germany. Inspired by the American rapper Ice-T, Blumio began, at the age of 14, to write his own rap lyrics. In 2002, he applied for an MC contest with a cassette. After an Internet vote, Blumio won the contest, beating many contestants, among them Berlin rapper Taichi. Following that, Blumio drew the attention of music producer Don Tone. Don Tone invited him to his studio in Düsseldorf, where Blumio came in contact with several notable German rappers, including Eko Fresh and the Aggro Berlin rappers. Hilden is a town in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is situated in the District of Mettmann, west of Solingen and east of Düsseldorf on the right side of the Rhine. Paul Hartmut Würdig (born 30 November 1980), better known as Sido, is a German rapper. He interprets his artist name as "super-intelligentes Drogenopfer" (super-intelligent drug victim). It used to stand for "Scheiße in dein Ohr" (shit into your ear), a line from his track "Terroarr". Sido distinguishes himself by using provocative and aggressive lyrics. After his breakthrough with his debut album '' Maske'' in 2004, he was always seen wearing a silver skull mask. However, since 2005, he no longer wears the mask. Azad Azadpour (born 24 November 1973), known professionally as Azad, is a German rapper of Kurdish descent based in Frankfurt. As one of the first German street rappers who become successful, he strongly influenced the German rap scene. Career After having arrived in Germany from Sanandaj in Iranian Kurdistan at the young age of 10, he was into hip hop, rap, beatboxing, and graffiti. Jan Phillip Eißfeldt (born 25 August 1976), known professionally as Jan Delay, is a German rapper and singer whose stylistic range includes mainly hip hop, reggae, dub and funk. Aggro Berlin was a German hip-hop independent record label based in Berlin that existed from 1 January 2001 until 1 April 2009. Three artists ( Sido, Tony D and Kitty Kat) were signed with the label at the time of its closure. Since the end of 2007, it used to be a sub-label of Universal.
