''Blowback'' is the fifth studio album by English rapper and producer Tricky (musician), Tricky. It was released on 26 June 2001. Background The album features more accessible, popular music, popular song structures than his previous records. Tricky later said he "did ''Blowback'' for the money, basically 'cause I was broke". He recorded the album with guest musicians, including Red Hot Chili Peppers members Flea (musician), Flea, Anthony Kiedis, Josh Klinghoffer, and John Frusciante; Cyndi Lauper, Alanis Morissette, Ed Kowalczyk, and less known artists such as Garrison Hawk, Hawkman, Stephanie McKay and Ambersunshower. Adrian Nicholas Matthews Thaws (born 27 January 1968), better known by his stage name Tricky, is a British record producer and rapper. Born and raised in Bristol, he began his career as an early member of the band Massive Attack alongside Robert Del Naja, Grant Marshall & Andrew Vowles. He embarked on a solo career with his debut album, ''Maxinquaye'', in 1995. The release won Tricky popular acclaim and marked the beginning of a lengthy collaborative partnership with vocalist Martina Topley-Bird. He released four more studio albums before the end of the decade, including ''Pre-Millennium Tension'' and the pseudonymous ''Nearly God'', both in 1996. Anthony Kiedis
Anthony Kiedis ( ; born November 1, 1962) is an American singer and songwriter. He is a founding member and lead vocalist of the rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers. Kiedis and his fellow band members were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012. Kiedis spent his youth in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with his mother, and then moved shortly before his twelfth birthday to live with his father in Hollywood. While attending Fairfax High School, Kiedis befriended students Flea and Hillel Slovak, who were members of a band called Anthym. Omnibus Press is a publisher of music-related books. It publishes around 30 new titles a year to add to a backlist of over 250 titles currently in print. Ambersunshower (born Ambersunshower Nadine Miligros Villenuevo Smith)) is an American R&B singer and former member of the hip hop duo, Groove Garden. Career Ambersunshower has been writing poetry since the age of ten. She was one half of hip hop duo Groove Garden, alongside DJ Atsushi. Groove Garden was signed by Tommy Boy, and the pair went on to open for Digable Planets on their first national tour.
