In 2010, the Bloomfield Hills School Board began discussing a move to merge Andover and Lahser High schools and build a new high school that would reside on Andover's grounds. The plan included provisions for Lahser's athletic facilities to be kept for use by the new high school. Bloomfield Hills, Michigan
Bloomfield Hills is a small city (5.04 sq. miles) in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is a northern suburb of Metro Detroit and is approximately northwest of Downtown Detroit. Except a small southern border with the city of Birmingham, the city is almost completely surrounded by Bloomfield Township, but the city and township are administered separately. As of the 2020 census, the city's population was 4,460. History On June 28, 1820, Oakland County was divided into two townships: Pontiac Township and Bloomfield Township, the latter covering the southern part of the county that would include West Bloomfield Township, Royal Oak and Southfield. Andover High School (Michigan)
Andover High School was a public high school in Bloomfield Township, Oakland County, Michigan, near Bloomfield Hills and in Greater Detroit. It was a part of the Bloomfield Hills School District. The school's final principal was Rob Durecka. The school teams were known as the Andover Barons. In 2010, the decision was made to merge Andover and Lahser High schools and build a single high school on the current Andover property. In 2013 it was merged into Bloomfield Hills High School, which is located on the former Andover campus.Home

Bloomfield Hills Schools (BHS) is a school district in the Greater Detroit area of the U.S. state of Michigan, with its headquarters in Bloomfield Township in Oakland County. In addition to portions of Bloomfield Township the district also serves most of the city of Bloomfield Hills and portions of Troy and West Bloomfield Township. A one-room school founded in 1822 became the foundation of the local school system, while the consolidated district dates from the 1950s.
