''Blood-Rooted'' is an album by Sepultura, released on June 3, 1997. It was a collection of unreleased tracks, B-sides, remixes, and live recordings. It was also the last officially recognised Sepultura album featuring original singer Max Cavalera, who left in December 1996 amid a dispute regarding the band's management. Cavalera was replaced by American singer Derrick Green in 1997. Tracks 1–6 and 11 are cover songs. Polícia (song)
"Polícia" is the fifth single by Titãs, from the album ''Cabeça Dinossauro'', released in 1986. The song, written just after Tony Bellotto and Arnaldo Antunes were arrested for heroin traffic, criticizes the police. According to Branco Mello, vocalist of the band, the album ''Cabeça Dinossauro'' had "much of that disappointment of being arrested and to know you are not a criminal". Sérgio Britto recorded the first take of his lead vocals while overhearing a conversation between producer Liminha and Evandro Mesquita about spearfishing, which made him angry. He wanted to record a second performance, but his band mates convinced him the first attempt was fine. Besides, he only had three minutes to record his part. "Slave New World" is Sepultura's sixth official single, and the final of three to be taken from the album '' Chaos A.D.'', released in 1994. The lyrics were co-written by Evan Seinfeld from Sepultura's Roadrunner label-mates Biohazard. Like most of the band's singles, the song is one of the band's best-known songs and remains a concert staple to this day. A music video was filmed for the single which features the band playing on what appears to be a volcano, intercut with footage of severe human conditioning, including branding people with barcodes. This video can be found on the VHS ''Third World Chaos'', which was later released on DVD as part of ''Chaos DVD''. The title of the song is a wordplay of Aldous Huxley's 1932 dystopian novel ''Brave New World.'' The title song, also included as a single off the album ''Chaos A.D.'', is one of the band's best-known songs and remains a concert staple to this day. A music video was filmed for the single which features the band playing live at a festival intercut with footage of rioting and general unrest. This video can be found on the VHS ''Third World Chaos'', which was later released on DVD as part of the ''Chaos'' DVD. The intro to the song is the heartbeat of Max Cavalera's then-unborn first son Zyon. This song is also notable for having a 20-second growl at the end. Ratos de Porão (Portuguese for "Basement Rats") is a Brazilian crossover thrash band from São Paulo.
