Calamity Trigger
''BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger'' is a fighting game developed by Arc System Works in 2008. The game's name is a combination of the words "blaze" and "blue" when the title is rendered in rōmaji, and of the words "brave" and "blue" when rendered in katakana. As Japanese people usually follow the katakana rendering, the Japanese prononciation is made similar to the word "bray", entirely omitting the "z" sound. Originally released for the arcades, it was also released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows. A port for the PlayStation Portable, titled ''BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger Portable'', was released in 2010. It was the first title in the '' BlazBlue'' game series and extended franchise. Gameplay ''BlazBlue'' is a traditional 2D fighter where two characters participate in a duel. A round is called a "rebel" and one match can consist of one to five "rebels". To win a round, one player must either incapacitate the other by inflicting damage through various attacks to ... Under Night In-Birth
is a 2D fighting game co-developed by Ecole Software and French-Bread. It received many updates for adjustments and characters. Gameplay The game has similar mechanics to ''Melty Blood'', ''Guilty Gear'' and ''BlazBlue''. It uses three attack buttons and a fourth one tied to the "GRD" meter. Attacks can cancel each other in any order, and into special and super moves. GRD is a tug-of-war mechanic to reward players for defense or offense, for them to use Shield, an enhanced defensive technique; Assault, an air dashing move; and Force Functions, a character-specific action serving as offense or a temporary buff. Whichever character has more GRD at the end of a cycle gains a temporary "Vorpal" buff, improving their moves and damage, and using Chain Shift, which cancels any move, resets the character to a neutral state and receives extra meter for the GRD. However, incorrectly guarding moves with Shield causes a state known as GRD Break, which locks a character out of any techniqu ... Fictional Crossover
A crossover is the placement of two or more otherwise discrete fictional characters, settings, or universes into the context of a single story. They can arise from legal agreements between the relevant copyright holders, unofficial efforts by fans, or common corporate ownership. Background Official Crossovers often occur in an official capacity in order for the intellectual property rights holders to reap the financial reward of combining two or more popular, established properties. In other cases, the crossover can serve to introduce a new concept derivative of an older one. Crossovers generally occur between properties owned by a single holder, but they can, more rarely, involve properties from different holders, provided that the inherent legal obstacles can be overcome. They may also involve using characters that have passed into the public domain with those concurrently under copyright protection. A crossover story may try to explain its own reason for the crossover ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |
