Blake Marshall (born May 17, 1965, in Guelph, Ontario) was Canadian football player with the Edmonton Eskimos for 8 seasons. He won the CFL's Most Outstanding Canadian Award in 1991 when he tied a CFL record with 20 total touchdowns and was a CFL All-Star three years in a row. Guelph ( ; 2021 Canadian Census population 143,740) is a city in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. The Edmonton Elks are a professional Canadian football team based in Edmonton, Alberta. CFL's Most Outstanding Canadian Award
The Most Outstanding Canadian Award is annually awarded to the best Canadian player in the Canadian Football League. The two nominees for the award are the Lew Hayman Trophy winner from the East Division, and the Dr. Beattie Martin Trophy winner from the West Division. The winner of the award is chosen by the Football Reporters of Canada since 1954. Players born outside Canada may win the award if they become citizens and attain National status. Player achievements The most wins by a player is four, for both Russ Jackson (completed in the 1969) and Tony Gabriel (completed in 1978). Greg Marshall (born April 19, 1959) is a former Canadian football running back and current head coach for the University of Western Ontario's football team, the Western Mustangs. Marshall was the head coach with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League from to . Prior to his time with the Tiger-Cats, Marshall was the head coach of McMaster University's football team. He is the brother of Blake Marshall.
