Blake MacDonald
Blake "Mac" MacDonald (born April 10, 1976) is a Canadians, Canadian curling, curler from St. Albert, Alberta, St. Albert, Alberta. Career For much of his career MacDonald played on Kevin Koe's team. Originally, MacDonald threw last rocks for the team while Koe threw third and Skip (curling), skipped, but in 2009 the two switched throwing order and MacDonald moved to third. MacDonald has been playing with Koe since 2006. Prior to that, he threw fourth rocks for Jamie King (curler), Jamie King. MacDonald has also skipped, and was also a member of the Ken Hunka and Brent MacDonald teams in the past. Early on the Koe rink came up short in major competitions. The team did however win the Canada Cup of Curling 2008 Canada Cup of Curling, in 2008. They won their first the Brier, Brier in 2010, beating Ontario's Glenn Howard in the final, 6–5. Cold Lake, Alberta
Cold Lake is a city in northeastern Alberta, Canada and is named after the lake nearby. Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake (CFB Cold Lake) is situated within the city's outer limits. History Cold Lake was first recorded on a 1790 map, by the name of Coldwater Lake. Originally three communities, Cold Lake was formed by merging the Town of Grand Centre, the Town of Cold Lake, and Medley ( Canadian Forces Base 4 Wing) on October 1, 1996. The Canada Cup (branded as the Home Hardware Canada Cup for sponsorship reasons, and also referred to as the Canada Cup of Curling) is a major men's and women's curling championship in Canada. It is organized by Curling Canada and is one of its major events on its "Season of Champions". The event is frequently used as a qualifier for various other events, such as the Canadian Olympic Curling Trials, Pre-Trials and Continental Cup. Since 2013, the Canada Cup is not held during the same curling season as the Winter Olympic Games. Scott Pfeifer
Scott Pfeifer (born January 5, 1977 in St. Albert, Alberta) is a Canadian curler from Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada who plays out of the St. Albert Curling Club in St. Albert. He was the long-time second for the Randy Ferbey rink from 1998 to 2010, winning four Briers and three World championships with the team. He later served as the alternate for the Kevin Koe rink with whom he won a Brier and world championship, and represented Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Pfeifer won the 1994 Canadian Junior Curling Championships and 1994 World Junior Curling Championships as a second for Colin Davison. At the 1997 Canadian Juniors Pfeifer threw fourth stones for Ryan Keane and would win his second national junior championship. He finished third at the '97 World Junior Curling Championships and became the '98 Shamrock Poor Boy champion. By 1999, he had joined the Randy Ferbey team, for whom he played second.
