Blaha Lujza Tér Metro Station
Blaha Lujza tér is a station of the M2 (East-West) line of the Budapest Metro. It is a major transport junction. The station was opened on 2 April 1970 as part of the inaugural section of Line M2, between Deák Ferenc tér and Örs vezér tere. The square is named after Lujza Blaha, an actress (1850–1926). The Hungarian National Theater was located on the square until 1964 when it was demolished (by explosion) because of the subway construction. The 111-year-old New York Café is located at walking distance from it. It was renovated and re-opened in 2006 May by the Italian hotel chain Boscolo Hotels Inc. Széll Kálmán Tér
Széll Kálmán tér (''Széll Kálmán Square'', formerly known as Moszkva tér or ''Moscow Square'' between 1951 and 2011) is a square in Budapest. It is one of the city's busiest transport interchanges (comparable to Móricz Zsigmond körtér farther south), which is served by a station on Metro line 2, tram lines 4, 6, 17, 56, 56A, 59, 59A, 59B, 61 and bus lines 5, 16, 16A, 21, 21A, 22, 22A, 39, 91, 102, 116, 128, 129, 139, 140, 140A, 142, 149, 155, 156, 222. Astoria is the colloquial, unofficial name of a major road intersection in the Budapest city centre and it can also refer to a station of the M2 metro line. It is named after Grand Hotel Astoria at its corner. It is the crossing point of Rákóczi út and Small Boulevard. Dreher (Kőbánya) Brewery (Dreher Sörgyárak) in Budapest is owned by Asahi Breweries. Its main products are the Dreher Gold, Arany Ászok and Kőbányai Világos pilsener-style lagers but it also brews Dreher Bak (a double bock), a full-bodied dark beer with a slight taste of caramel. New Public Cemetery, Budapest
New Public Cemetery (Hungarian: ''Új köztemető'' or ''Rákoskeresztúri sírkert'') is the largest cemetery in Budapest and one of the largest in Europe with an area of about 2.07 km² and 3 million burials since its opening in 1886. It is adjacent to the Kozma Street Cemetery; the largest Jewish cemetery in Hungary. Its main building, which was constructed in 1903, has a 26-meter-high bell tower. In addition to its rich vegetation and wide avenues, the cemetery is famous for plot 301, where the martyrs of the 1956 revolution were buried. The Kozma Street Cemetery is the biggest Jewish cemetery of Budapest, Hungary. It is located next to the New Public Cemetery (Újköztemető). Móricz Zsigmond Körtér
Móricz Zsigmond körtér ("''Zsigmond Móricz circus''") is a square in Budapest, Hungary. Located in Újbuda, or Budapest's 11th District at the convergence of some of Budapest's major boulevards '' Béla Bartók út, Villányi út, Fehérvári út,'' and ''Karinthy Frigyes út,'' the square in close proximity to the River Danube. From 1929, the square was initially named after Miklós Horthy, but was renamed after famous Hungarian writer Zsigmond Móricz in 1945. It remains a prominent location within the city, and was a scene of fierce fighting in the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. The main feature of the intersection is the ''Gomba'', or Mushroom. A tunnel boring machine (TBM), also known as a "mole", is a machine used to excavate tunnels with a circular cross section through a variety of soil and rock strata.
