Black And Blonde
''Black and Blonde'' stylized as ''Black & Blonde'' is the debut extended play by British recording artist Rainy Milo, released on 22 April 2013. It was her first work released under her contract with Universal Music, and followed her acclaimed mixtape ''Limey'' (2012). Sonically the EP features hip hop, alternative and jazz genres. All the songs were written by Milo except "Bankrobber", which is a rendition of the 1980 song of the same name by English punk rock band The Clash. The EP also includes "Don't Regret Me" from her previous mixtape. The promotional video for "Bankrobber" includes scenes of Milo robbing a bank and a mug shot. In support of the EP, Milo performed shows in May 2013 at Cargo in London, Field Day festival, Brighton and Bristol. Rainy Milo
Rainy Milo is a British recording artist, born in south-east London; she began her career singing with local musicians and arts collectives when she was 14. In 2012 Milo released her debut mixtape "Limey" which contained "jazz-inspired hip-hop" production, this was followed by Milo's debut EP entitled "Black & Blonde" which was released in April 2013. Most recently, Milo released her debut album "This Thing Of Ours" in April 2015 in the US via Limey/Big Picnic Records. Field Day (festival)
Field Day is a yearly outdoor music festival in London. It was first held in Victoria Park in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets on 11 August 2007 and returned there each year until 2017. The 2018 festival moved to Brockwell Park, and in 2019 it was held at Meridian Water in Enfield, with a capacity of 25,000. It has continuously expanded, and since its inception, has sold out yearly. Village mentality The festival hosts an annual village fete titled Village Mentality. Beginning in 2008, the area includes a sack race, tug of war and egg and spoon race. In 2008, the events took place until 5pm, finishing earlier than the rest of the festival. In 2009, the area was extended to include its own musical line-up, playing on the Village Mentality Stage. Mixtape
A mixtape (alternatively mix-tape, mix tape or mixed tape) is a compilation of music, typically from multiple sources, recorded onto a medium. With origins in the 1980s, the term normally describes a homemade compilation of music onto a cassette tape, CD, or digital playlist. The songs are either ordered sequentially or made into a continuous programme by beatmatching the songs and creating seamless transitions at their beginnings and endings with fades or abrupt edits.
