Blaagaard Seminarium
Blaagaard Seminarium (also spelled Blågård Seminarium) has been the name of two teacher training colleges both originating in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. The first of them, which was the first teacher training college in Denmark, changed its name to Jonstrup Seminarium in 1808. The second one was founded in 1859. They merged in 1992 and are now part of University College Capital (UCC). History The first Blågård Seminarium was established in Blaagaard's main building in 1791. It was the first teacher training college in Denmark. Its name was changed to Jonstrup Seminarium when it moved to the former textile factory in Jonstrup outside Copenhagen in 1808. A new Blaagaard Seminarium was founded by Jeppe Tang in rented rooms in Blågårdsgade in 1759. In 1863, it moved to a new purpose-built building in the same street. Nørrebro
Nørrebro (, ) is one of the 10 official districts of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is northwest of the city centre, beyond the location of the old Northern Gate (''Nørreport''), which, until dismantled in 1856, was near the current Nørreport station. Jonstrup
Jonstrup is a suburban neighbourhood situated in Furesø Municipality on the west side of Hareskoven forest in the northwestern outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark. The original village has merged with the neighbouring villages of Måløv in Ballerup Municipality and Smørumnedre in Egedal Municipality to form an urban agglomeration with a population of 20,657 (2022). The neighbourhood is separated from Måløv by Mølledalen, Møllemosen, and Værebro å. History A textile factory was built in the village in the middle of the 18th century. It was destroyed in a fire in 1778 but reopened after being rebuilt in 1781. In 1809, it was converted into a teachers' academy, Jonstrup Seminarium, which moved to new premises in Kongens Lyngby in 1955. AU Campus Emdrup is Aarhus University's campus in Copenhagen, Denmark. Situated in Emdrup, just north of Emdrup station, it was created when the Danish University of Education (Danmarks Pædagogosike Universitet, DPU) was merged with Aarhus University in 2007. Emdrup is a neighbourhood straddling the border between the Bispebjerg and Østerbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is located between Utterslev Mose in the west and the Helsingør Motorway in the east, just south of the border with Gladsaxe and Gentofte municipalities. Kapelvej () is a street in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It runs from Nørrebrogade in the northeast to Åboulevard, Ågade in the southwest.
