Björn Eriksson (civil Servant)
Björn Gustaf Eriksson (born 7 December 1945) is a Swedish civil servant. A former director of the Swedish Coast Guard, the Swedish Customs Service, the Swedish police, and president of Interpol. He was, from 1996 to 31 August 2009, governor of Östergötland County, residing at the Linköping Castle. Career Eriksson was born in Stockholm, Sweden, the son of CFO K-G Eriksson and his wife Aina (née From). He graduated from the Stockholm School of Economics in 1968 and worked at Sparbankernas bank from 1968 to 1969. He then served at the Ministry of Finance/Ministry of Budget, as desk officer from 1969 to 1976, director from 1977 to 1981 and budget director from 1981 to 1983. He was then the General Customs Director and Head of the Swedish Customs Service and the Swedish Coast Guard from 1983 to 1988. Bridget Of Sweden
Bridget of Sweden (c. 1303 – 23 July 1373) born as Birgitta Birgersdotter, also Birgitta of Vadstena, or Saint Birgitta ( sv, heliga Birgitta), was a mystic and a saint, and she was also the founder of the Bridgettines nuns and monks after the death of her husband of twenty years. Outside Sweden, she was also known as the ''Princess of Nericia'' and she was the mother of Catherine of Vadstena. (Even though she is normally named ''Bridget of Sweden'', she was not a member of Swedish royalty.) Nils Erik Hjalmar Åhmansson (born 23 May 1941), is a Swedish civil servant. Åhmansson was National Police Commissioner from 1 January 1988 to 20 October 1988. He was chairman of the Swedish Kennel Club from 1993 to 2015. Career Åhmansson was born in Gothenburg, Sweden, the son of Carl-Erik Åhmansson, an insurance managing director, and his wife Ingeborg (née Wulff). He received a Candidate of Law degree in 1968 and did his clerkship from 1968 to 1970. Åhmansson underwent police chief education from 1971 to 1972 and served as a police secretary in Värmland from 1972 to 1975. Falcon Brewery
Falcon Brewery (Bryggeri AB Falken) was a brewery company in Falkenberg, Sweden. After being bought by Carlsberg it is now one of their production facilities. The brewery was founded in 1896 by John L Skantze who picked Falkenberg because financial support was found there. In 1955 they started selling beer under the Falcon name. The company continued to grow, but after the ban on Class IIB beer the company came into difficulties and in 1977 it was bought by Pripps and was combined with Sandwalls in Borås (closed in 1981). 1985 the company was split into Falken that manufactured and Falcon that handled marketing, distribution and sales. Vätternrundan
Vätternrundan is a ( before 2020) cyclosportive event held annually over two weekends in June in Sweden. In 2011, 27,973 cyclists passed the finish line; 18,272 on the course, 3,686 on the course, and 6,015 on the course). The 315 km course circles Lake Vättern, starting and finishing in the town of Motala. Approximately 20 percent of the participants are non-Swedish and in 2011, 37 nations were represented on the course. For the 2012 event, registration for the main event was limited to a maximum of 23,000 participants. The cyclists start in groups of 60 or 70, in a two-minute interval between groups. The first group starts at 7:30 pm on Friday and the last group starts at about 5:30 am on Saturday.
