Anders Petersen (historian)
Anders Petersen (22 December 1827 – 13 August 1914) was a Danish school teacher and author of a range of historical, genealogical and statistical books. Early years Anders Petersen was born in Bjæverskov, a town in Køge Municipality, as the youngest of four children of farmer Peter Nicolaisen and wife Marie Nilsdatter Bech. He grew up with his family in the residence of the deacon of Bjæverskov, where his parents worked for the unmarried deacon. Since rural deacons were often school teachers as well, this may partly explain why he later became a teacher. In 1842 he was confirmed as first in his class. The deacon who had employed his parents died in May the same year, two months later at the age of 14 Anders Petersen started as an apprentice as a weaver in nearby Slimminge. In May 1845 Anders Petersen had completed his apprenticeship. During the following years he worked as a weaver in various nearby villages except for November 1846 where he lived in Copenhagen. Køge Municipality
Køge Municipality () is a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Region Sjælland on the east coast of the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') approx. 40 km southwest of Copenhagen. The municipality covers an area of 255 km² (98 sq. miles), and has a total population of 60,675 (2019). Until January 2007, its mayor was Torben Hansen, a member of the Social Democrats (''Socialdemokraterne'') political party, who died while still in office. David Østervig Borchersen (né Christiansen; born 19 April 1978) is a Danish cricketer. Borchersen is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm medium pace. He was born at Bjæverskov, Køge Municipality. Career Borchersen played for Denmark Under-19s in the 1997 International Youth Tournament in Bermuda, making his debut for the team against the Netherlands Under-19s. His senior debut for Denmark also came in 1997, in a minor match against Scotland. He later played for the team in the 1998 Under-19 World Cup, making his Youth One Day International (YODI) debut against Ireland Under-19s. He made five further YODI appearances during the tournament, the last of which came against Namibia Under-19s. His next appearance for Denmark came in 2003, in a minor match against Ireland. Region Zealand ( da, Region Sjælland) is the southernmost administrative region of Denmark, established on 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform, which abolished the traditional counties ("amter") and set up five larger regions. Statistics Denmark ( da, Danmarks Statistik) is a Danish governmental organization under the Ministry of the Interior and Housing and which reports to the Minister of Economic and Internal Affairs. The organization is responsible for creating statistics on the Danish society, for example employment statistics, trade balance, and demographics.
