Bernardo Bitti
Democrito Bernardo Bitti (1548–1610) was an Italian Jesuit priest and painter. He introduced Mannerism to Peru, where he went on a Jesuit mission after having studied in Rome. On his way to Peru, Bitti traveled through Spain, where he became influenced by Sevillian painting, especially that of Luis de Morales. Bitti arrived in Peru in 1575 and started painting for churches first in Lima and from 1583 in Cusco. His works in Lima include the typically Mannerist ''Coronation of the Virgin'' and ''The Virgin of the Candelaria'' for St. Peter's Church. The Immaculate Conception was a recurring theme in his paintings, one of which is in the in Cusco. In addition to Mannerism, his works reflect ideas of the Counter-Reformation and religious education of the natives. After 1584, Bitti traveled all over South America, painting where he went. Davide Ricci Bitti (born 12 February 1984) is an Italian former professional road cyclist. In 2020 Bitti started racing again but this time as an amateur riding for Argon18–Hicari–Stemax. Bitti said "he competes for the sake of being with friends". Career He rode in the 2011 Giro d'Italia and finished in 148th place. In Stage 3 of the Giro Bitti was part of the four-man break which formed 30 km into the 173 km stage. Working with his fellow break-away riders they achieved a 3-minute gap fairly quickly. With 25 km to go Gianluca Brambilla attacked over a climb followed closely by Pavel Brutt this surge in pace up the hill caused Bitti to lose contact with the breakaway. Francesco Ricci Bitti (born 15 January 1942) is an Italian sports administrator and former tennis player who has presided over the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) since 2013. Since 2015 he has been honorary life president of the International Tennis Federation (ITF). Biography Ricci Bitti was born in Faenza, Emilia-Romagna. Satwinder Bitti ( pa, ਸਤਵਿੰਦਰ ਬਿੱਟੀ) is a Punjabi singer of Punjab, India. She was a national-level hockey player and later adapted singing as profession. Vishnuvardhana
Vishnuvardhana (r. 1108–1152 CE) was a king of the Hoysala Empire in what is today the modern state of Karnataka, India. He ascended the Hoysala throne after the death of his elder brother Veera Ballala I in c.1108. Originally a follower of Jainism and known as Bitti Deva, he came under the influence of the Hindu philosopher Ramanujacharya, converted to Hindu Vaishnavism and took the name "Vishnuvardhana". His queen Shanthala however remained a Jain. Bitti Mohanty, also called Bitihotra Mohanty is a computer engineer and is a high-profile convict sentenced to seven years' imprisonment for raping a German tourist at Alwar, India and was since absconding after he was released on parole on 20 November 2006 to meet his ailing mother at Cuttack, Orissa. He was arrested from Kannur in Kerala, on Saturday, 9 March 2013. His case was one of the quickest rape trials conducted by a fast-track court; the trial was completed within 15 days of lodging the complaint.
