Carlo Bisiach
Carlo Bisiach (1892–1968) was a violin maker born in Milan Italy. Bisiach's work contributed to the rebirth of violin making in the region after the difficult times of World War I and World War II. After working with his father Leandro in Milan and then Siena, Carlo established himself at Florence in 1922. The most talented of Leandro's sons, Carlo went on to develop his own style quite separate from the Antoniazzi-derived work of his father and brothers. Biography Carlo Bisiach was born in Milan on 9 March 1892 and died on 23 April 1968. The son and student of Leandro Bisiach, descendant of the Cremonese school, he began studying the art of stringed-instrument making in the early years of his life. In 1922, after marrying Daria Guidi in Siena, he moved to Florence. They first lived in via della Spada; later they moved to via San Zanobi, and in 1929 to via Puccinotti. Gianni Bisiach
Gianni Bisiach (7 May 1927 – 20 November 2022) was an Italian journalist, television and radio writer, presenter, essayist, documentarist and screenwriter. Biography Born in Gorizia, after getting his degree in Medicine Bisiach enrolled at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. In the mid-1950s he entered RAI as a collaborator of the news program ''TV 7''. In the late 1970s he started working on radio, where he created the long-standing Radio Uno talk show ''Radio anch'io'', which ran between 1978 and 1992 and had a TV spin-off, also hosted by Bisiach.Aldo Grasso, Massimo Scaglioni. Leandro Bisiach
Leandro Bisiach (16 June 1864 – 1 December 1945) was an Italian violin maker, who was born in Casale Monferrato and died in 1945 at Venegono Superiore near Varese. Biography Trained as a violinist, he made his first violin on his own and received praise for it. Thus he decided to become a violin maker and moved to Milan to work with the Antoniazzi family in 1886. With them he established a partnership of exceptional importance, putting to good use his artistic skills and business ability. After having moved his workshop to various premises, he retired to his villa in Venegono leaving his sons Andrea and Carlo Bisiach to continue the business in Milan. Bisiach was a prominent figure in the commerce of antique violins. He trained a number of luthiers, including Gaetano Sgarabotto, Igino Sderci, Pietro Borghi, Ornati and Garimberti.
