Bishan Singh (environmentalist)
Bishan Singh s/o Ram Singh ( pa, ਬਿਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ, Biśana sigha; May 31, 1944 - November 29, 2006) was a Malaysian social activist and environmentalist. Background Born in Nibong Tebal, Penang, Bishan Singh had a Masters in Development Management from the Asian Institute of Management, Manila. He graduated as a Dean Scholar. His journey had been meaningful as he did not have a bachelor's degree. Bishan Singh spearheaded a campaign to save Tasik Chini, a famous lake in Pahang which is also Malaysia's largest freshwater lake, and received strong support from the private sector. To him, the lake was special in many ways and had been in love with the lake since his secondary school days and wanted it to be revived. Pulmonary embolism (PE) is a blockage of an pulmonary artery, artery in the lungs by a substance that has moved from elsewhere in the body through the bloodstream (embolism). Symptoms of a PE may include dyspnea, shortness of breath, chest pain particularly upon breathing in, and coughing up blood. Symptoms of a deep vein thrombosis, blood clot in the leg may also be present, such as a erythema, red, warm, swollen, and painful leg.
