Parsa District
Parsa District ( ne, पर्सा जिल्ला), a part of Madhesh Province in Terai plain, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. The district, with Birgunj as its district headquarters, covers an area of and has a population (2001) of 497,219. According to the locals, Parsa is named after Parashnath temple situated in Mahuwan. Football is one of the major and the most popular sports of Nepal. It is governed by the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA). The present acting president of ANFA is Karma Kshiring Sherpa. William Opoku Asiedu (born 1 April 1997) is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Nepal Super League club Birgunj United FC. Besides Ghana, he has played in England, Estonia, Nepal and India. Club career Opoku's career began in Ghana with Division One club Okyeman Planners. He scored eleven goals in his final season, 2016, with Okyeman. In February 2017, Opoku joined Premier League team Middlesbrough on a long-term contract.
