Biplab Chatterjee is an Indian actor and director of television and films. Career Biplab started his film career with Satyajit Ray in his film ''Pratidwandi''. He is popular for his antagonistic character in Bengali films. Apart from his career in films, he has also shown interest in socio-political activities. In 1998, he was a candidate for assembly election from Rashbehari constituency and in 2006 from Alipore constituency. Biplab Dasgupta
Biplab Dasgupta (2 January 1938 – 17 July 2005) was a Marxian economist, former member of Rajya Sabha , Lok Sabha and the Bengal state committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), CPI(M). He was the author of several books on the agrarian economy of India. Biography Dr. Biplab Dasgupta received his MA in economics from the University of Calcutta. In 1967 he received the PhD of London University as a member of SOAS for the thesis "Oil prices and the Indian market, 1886-1964" where his supervisor was Edith Penrose. He also received an MSc degree in computer science from the University of London. Dasgupta was a popular student leader of 1950s and became a member of Communist Party of India, CPI in 1955. He joined Communist Party of India (Marxist), CPI(M) in 1964. He was elected a member of the state committee in 1980. He became a central committee member of the CPI(M) in 1985. Biplab Kumar Deb
Biplab Kumar Deb (born 25 November 1971) is an Indian politician and former Chief Minister of Tripura. He was the state unit president of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Tripura from 7 January 2016 up to 2018. He led the BJP to victory in the 2018 Tripura Legislative Assembly election, 2018 Legislative Assembly Election, ending the twenty-five year rule of the Left Front (Tripura), Left Front government led by the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He took his oath as the tenth Chief Minister of Tripura on 9 March 2018. Deb resigned from the post on 14 May 2022, a year ahead of elections. Early life Biplab Deb was born on 25 November 1971 in Rajdhar Nagar village, Udaipur, Tripura, Udaipur, Gomati district, Tripura.
