Bindow Jibrilla
Mohammed Umaru Jibrilla (born 16 June 1963), also known as Bindow Jibrilla is a Nigerian businessman who became the candidate of the People's Democratic Party in the 9 April 2011 Senatorial election for the Adamawa North district, and went on to be elected to the Nigerian Senate. His candidature was unsuccessfully disputed by the incumbent Senator Mohammed Mana. Bindow was elected governor of Adamawa State after defeating Nuhu Ribadu and Markus Gundiri in the April 2015 Adamawa State gubernatorial election. In 2019, he sought re-election for a second term in office but was defeated by opposition People's Democratic Party's candidate, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. Mubi is a town in Northern Senatorial District of Adamawa State, northeast Nigeria. It is subdivided into two. Mubi north and Mubi south Demographics The major tribes of the town are Fali, Gude, Kamwe, Margi and Mundang (Godo-godo). The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), formerly known as Action Congress (AC), was a Nigerian political party formed via the merger of a faction of Alliance for Democracy, the Justice Party, the Advance Congress of Democrats, and several other minor political parties in September 2006. Boni Haruna (born 12 June, 1957) is the former Nigerian Minister for Youth Development. He was governor of Adamawa State in Nigeria from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007. He was a member of the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP). Background Boni Haruna was born on 12 June 1957. He studied Political Science at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. The 2015 Adamawa State gubernatorial election occurred in Nigeria on April 11, 2015. APC candidate Bindo Jibrilla won the election, defeating Markus Gundiri of the SDP. Bindo Jibrilla emerged APC gubernatorial candidate after scoring 2,718 votes and defeating his closest rival, Ibrahim Mijinyawa Yayaji who received 2,268 votes.
