Bindheswari Prasad Keshri
Bisheshwar Prasad Keshari, popularly known as Dr BP Keshari, was an educationist and writer. He was a prominent leader in the movement for a separate state, Jharkhand. Life Early life Bisheshwar Prasad Keshari was born in Pithoria in Ranchi district in Bihar Province on 1 July 1933 to Shivnarayan Sahu and Lagan Devi in a Kesarwani family. He completed the M.A and PhD from Ranchi University. According to him, when he was in intermediate of Ranchi College, he attained wedding of relatives in Pithoria. When he heard the nagpuri song sung by women, he was astounded at the depth of meaning and decided to collect unpublished nagpuri songs. Career He started his career as an assistant professor in Daltonganj in 1957. He established the Tribal and Regional language department at Ranchi University along with Ram Dayal Munda in the 1980s. Pithoria
Pithoria is a village in the Kanke CD block in the Ranchi Sadar subdivision of the Ranchi district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. History According to legend, Phani Mukut Rai, the first Nagvanshi king established sun idol near Pithoria. In 2010, remains of Sun idol of sun temple have been discovered in Semair Bera and Rarha village about 11 km north of Pithoria which is dated to 12th century CE. Archeologist also discovered 16th century Idgah, 18th century Shiva temple, 19th century garrison. The garrison was built during Indian rebellion of 1857. According to literary source, Sher Shah Suri rested in idgarh before attacking Ghiyasuddin Mahmud Shah of Bengal. The garrison may have been constructed by king of Pithoria Jagatpal Singh in 1857. Sudesh Mahto
Sudesh Mahto is an Indian politician who was the former Deputy Chief Minister of Jharkhand. He is the member of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly from Silli. He won the first assembly election in 2000 when he was aged 25. On the formation of Jharkhand he was inducted as Road Constructions Minister. He took over as Deputy Chief Minister of Jharkhand state on 29 December 2009. In 2019, he became M.L.A. of Silli. Mahto represented the Silli Vidhan Sabha constituency in the legislative assembly of Jharkhand for three consecutive terms, being elected in 2000, 2005 and 2009. He is considered the face of youth in the state and is known to his supporters as ''Dada'' (elder brother). Ranchi (, ) is the capital of the Indian state of Jharkhand. AJSU Party
All Jharkhand Students Union or AJSU PARTY is a state political party of Jharkhand state, India. AJSU PARTY was founded on June 22, 1986, modelled after All Assam Students Union. The founders of AJSU were disillusioned with the previous political parties of Jharkhand and wanted more militant agitations. AJSU organized general strikes and a campaign to boycott the Lok Sabha elections in 1989. By 1990 however, AJSU had taken a more pragmatic line and had candidates for the Bihar state assembly election on the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha symbol. Today, AJSU contests elections under its own name. In the 2004 Lok Sabha elections AJSU was allied with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
