Bill Sprouse Jr.
Bill Sprouse Jr. (aka Willy Sprouse Jr., d. 5 September 1975) was a Christian evangelist, singer and songwriter, and the musical force behind two groups (both called The Road Home) in the early 1970s. Bill recorded several songs for Maranatha! Music and traveled extensively sharing the Gospel through his music. He was severely overweight and died at age 26. Sprouse is best known for his songwriting, including "Shotgun Angel", "Since I Met Jesus" and "Psalm Five". "Since I Met Jesus" first appeared on the compilation Maranatha 4, along with songs by such labelmates as Love Song and The Way. The track was later released on "Best of Maranatha Vol. 1", "Maranatha Country Roundup", "Calvary Classics Vol. 1", "Maranatha Collection Vol. 2", and "Long Play Country Gospel". It was played on the influential country station KFAT in Gilroy, CA. , better known by his stage name DJ Krush, is a record producer and DJ. He is known for his atmospheric instrumental production which incorporates sound elements from nature and extensive use of jazz and soul samples. Early life Ishi was born in Tokyo in 1962. He dropped out of school at an early age and joined a local gang and, a few years later, the yakuza. Early in his career as a yakuza underling, Ishi discovered a severed finger wrapped in paper on his desk. Later, after discovering that it had belonged to a friend, he decided to leave the yakuza and cut ties with the criminal underworld. Ishi was inspired to start DJing after seeing the film ''Wild Style'' in 1983. is the third studio album by Japanese hip hop producer DJ Krush. It was released on July 21, 1995 in Japan by Sony Music Entertainment. ''Meiso'' was issued in the United Kingdom on October 30, 1995 by the label Mo' Wax, peaking at number 64 on the UK Albums Chart. Dunhill Records was started in 1964 by Lou Adler, Jay Lasker, Pierre Cossette and Bobby Roberts as Dunhill Productions to release the music of Johnny Rivers on Imperial Records. It became a record label the following year and was distributed by ABC Records. The first Dunhill single was "My Prayer/Pretty Please" (catalog #D-4001) by Shelley Fabares, who was married to Adler at the time. In the summer of 1967 Adler sold his shares to ABC Records, creating ABC-Dunhill Records, after which he started yet another label Ode Records (which was first distributed by CBS and later by A&M Records). Until 1975, ABC continued to release records on the Dunhill label, after which all remaining artists were absorbed into the ABC Records roster before MCA Records bought the label outright in 1979.
