Bill McGrath (dancer)
William Desmond McGrath (3 December 1936 – 22 August 2018) was an Australian politician who was a member of National Party of Australia – Victoria, the National Party. He was also a professional Australian rules football, Australian rules footballer. McGrath played in the Australian Football League, Victorian Football League with Sydney Swans, South Melbourne under captain-coach Ron Clegg. He played 15 out of 18 games in the 1959 home and away season. He also kicked 18 goals, including five in a win over Richmond Football Club, Richmond at Punt Road, with team-mate Bob Skilton matching his tally. At the end of the year, he returned to his family farm in Minyip but would continue to play and later coach in the Wimmera Football League. Electoral District Of Lowan
The electoral district of Lowan is a rural Victorian Legislative Assembly (Lower House) electoral district of the Victorian Parliament. It is located within the Western Victoria Region of the Legislative Council. It was initially created by the Electoral Act Amendment Act 1888, taking effect at the 1889 elections. It is the state’s biggest electorate by area, covering about 41,858 km². Lowan includes the country towns of Casterton, Coleraine, Dartmoor, Dimboola, Hamilton, Horsham, Jeparit, Kaniva, Nhill and Rainbow. The current seat was established in 2002 although several previous seats held the same name. The current member is The Nationals' Emma Kealy.
