Bilkha
Bilkha is a small village in the Junagadh district in Gujarat, India. Bilkha lies at the foot of the Girnar clump in the south-east corner. History According to a legend, Bilkha was the ancient residence of the legendary king Bali. It is situated about eighteen miles east of Vamansthali (the present Vanthali), the abode of Vamana. During British period, it is owned by Kathis of the Vala tribe, a branch of the Jetpur house. In 1880s, Vala Kala Devdan was a its ''talukdar'' who had fourth class jurisdiction in his sole villages, and Valas Ala and Desa both sons of Bhima Sata, they each exercised sixth class jurisdiction in their sole villages. Bilkha itself was joint between the above-mentioned shareholders so it was managed by a ''thanadar'' subordinate to the Jetpur taluka court. Junagadh District
Junagadh district is a district of the Indian state of Gujarat. Its administrative headquarters is the city of Junagadh. Geography The district is located on the Kathiawar peninsula in western Gujarat. It is surrounded by Rajkot District (North), Porbandar District (North-West), Amreli District (East). To the South and West is the Arabian Sea. Porbandar, was earlier a part of this district, before the Porbandar district was carved out of Junagadh district. Junagadh has a mountain range called Girnar which is a place of pilgrimage for Hinduism and Jainism. Gujarat

Mahabali
Mahabali (IAST: Mahābalī), also known as Bali, Indrasenan, or Māveli, is a daitya king featured in Hinduism. He is the grandson of Prahlada, and a descendant of the sage Kashyapa. There are many versions of his legend, in ancient texts such as the ''Shatapatha Brahmana'', ''Ramayana'', ''Mahabharata'', and several ''Puranas''. According to Hindu literature, he was banished beneath the earth into the ''patala'' (netherworld) by the Vamana avatar of Vishnu. Vamana
Vamana (), also known as Trivikrama (), Urukrama (), Upendra (), Dadhivamana (), and Balibandhana () is an avatar of the Hindu deity Vishnu. He is the fifth avatar of Vishnu, and the first Dashavatara in the Treta Yuga, after Narasimha. Kathi Caste
The Kathi people is a small group of clans found in the peninsular Kathiawar (now called Saurashtra) region of Gujarat, western India. It was from the Kathis that the Maratha Empire and later the British Raj named the Saurashtra region as Kathiawar until it was renamed Saurashtra, as the Kathis were prominent there during the 17th-18th centuries. The Kathis are a peasant caste, and have historically married with Rajputs, Ahirs, and Barbarias. The Kathis practiced the partition of territory upon a rulers death, in which his territory would be carved out among his sons. However, the British encourage the practice of primogeniture, in which a ruler's territory would be completely inherited by his eldest son (or whomever was next in succession). The British favored this practice because it was easier to maintain control over a few large states rather than hundreds of small ones.
