Bilgaon
Bilgaon is a village in the Dhadgaon, Dhadgaon Tehsil of Nandurbar district, in Maharashtra in western India. It consists of 12 hamlets. The population recorded in the 2011 Census of India was 1840. Notably, a micro hydro was built in 2003 mostly with the help of voluntary labour by the tribals (Shramdaan); effects of the Sardar Sarovar Dam caused it to be washed away. The Bollywood film ''Swades'' was based on the village. Swades
''Swades: We, the People'' () is a 2004 Indian Hindi-language drama film co-written, directed and produced by Ashutosh Gowariker. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Gayatri Joshi and Kishori Ballal while Daya Shankar Pandey, Rajesh Vivek, Lekh Tandon appear in supporting roles. The plot was based on two episodes of the series ''Vaapsi'' on Zee TV's ''Yule Love Stories'' (1994–95) which had Gowariker playing the role of ''Mohan Bhargav''. Dhadgaon (also known as Akrani or Akrani Mahal) is a municipal council in Nandurbar district, Maharashtra, India. The name Akrani is derived from a local queen "Akka Rani", Rani meaning queen in Marathi language, Marathi. Nandurbar district has five more tehsils viz. Akkalkuwa, Taloda, Shahada, Maharashtra, Shahada, Nandurbar and Navapur. The tehsil is surrounded by Madhya Pradesh state on north and east, Shahada and Talode tehsils on south and Akkalkuwa on west. State Highway 1 (Maharashtra), Maharashtra State Highway 1 (MSH-1) passes through the tehsil along with Akkalkuwa and Shahada. 2011 Census Of India
The 2011 Census of India or the 15th Indian Census was conducted in two phases, house listing and population enumeration. The House listing phase began on 1 April 2010 and involved the collection of information about all buildings. Information for National Population Register (NPR) was also collected in the first phase, which will be used to issue a 12-digit unique identification number to all registered Indian residents by Unique Identification Authority of India. Sardar Sarovar Dam
The Sardar Sarovar Dam is a concrete gravity dam built on the Narmada River in Navagam near the town of Kevadiya, Narmada District, in the state of Gujarat, India. The dam was constructed to provide water and electricity to four Indian states: Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan. The project was a vision of the first deputy Prime Minister of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (also known as Sardar Patel) and the foundation stone was laid by Jawaharlal Nehru. The project took form in 1979 as part of a development scheme funded by the World Bank through their International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, to increase irrigation and produce hydroelectricity, using a loan of US$200 million. Micro hydro is a type of hydroelectric power that typically produces from 5 kW to 100 kW of electricity using the natural flow of water. Installations below 5 kW are called pico hydro. Nandurbar is a city and a municipal council in Nandurbar district in the Indian States and territories of India, state of Maharashtra. Nandurbar municipal corporation is the first municipal corporation. Nandurbar is an administrative district in the northwest corner of (Khandesh region) of Maharashtra.
