Big Brother Recordings
Big Brother Recordings Ltd. is a record label set up in 2000 to release material by rock band Oasis in the UK and Ireland. On 19 June 2008 a deal was signed with Sony BMG which entitled them to an arranged portion of the profits from the next three Oasis studio albums to be released through Big Brother. The name of the company is a reference to the band's guitarist, singer and songwriter Noel Gallagher, who is the older brother of lead singer Liam Gallagher. The catalogue number of each release begins with "RKID", which stands for "our kid"; Northern England slang to refer to a brother. The imprint was started after Alan McGee announced on 25 November 1999 that he was leaving Creation Records, Oasis' original record company. Be Here Now (album)
''Be Here Now'' is the third studio album by English rock band Oasis, released on 21 August 1997 by Creation Records. The album was recorded at multiple recording studios in London, including Abbey Road Studios, as well as Ridge Farm Studio in Surrey. Although most tracks retain the anthemic quality of previous releases, the songs on ''Be Here Now'' are longer and contain many guitar overdubs. Noel Gallagher said this was done to make the album sound as "colossal" as possible. The album cover features a shot of the band members at Stocks House in Hertfordshire. It is the last Oasis studio album to feature founding members guitarist Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs and bassist Paul "Guigsy" McGuigan as the two left in 1999. Who Feels Love?
"Who Feels Love?" is a song by the English rock band Oasis, written by the band's lead guitarist Noel Gallagher. It became the second single to be released from the album '' Standing on the Shoulder of Giants'', peaking at number four on the UK Singles Chart and entering the top 20 in Ireland, Italy, and Spain. The album was noted for its psychedelic feel, and "Who Feels Love?" was held up as the most extreme example of this. Mark Stent was praised for his production on the song, creating a "trippy" feel like that found on Beatles songs such as "Rain". With the psychedelic and Eastern sound, the song also reminds of George Harrison achievements like "Within You Without You" and also some of his solo work. the7stars is a media agency based in the United Kingdom. Clients include Iceland, Warner Music, Ladbrokes Coral Group, Nintendo and Suzuki. In 2017, Campaign Magazine ranked the7stars the 12th biggest media agency in Britain. History the7stars was established in 2005, by Jenny Biggam, Mark Jarvis, and Colin Mills, along with a group of senior management from media agency Carat UK, who founded the organisation to compete with independent media agencies. The marketplace had been slow to develop due to prohibitively high start-up costs; the funding required for the creation of the agency came from private individuals, rather than from "venture capitalists or a media network", making the7stars the first planning agency to launch since Christine Walker set up Walker Media in 1997". Jay Darlington
Jay Peter Darlington (born 3 May 1968 in Sidcup, London) is an English keyboardist, best known as a member of Kula Shaker. He went on to work as a touring member of Oasis and is currently a member of the Totnes, Devon based prog band, Magic Bus. History Darlington attended Oxted County Senior School in Oxted, Surrey, England. He joined Kula Shaker as an organ player in 1994 and stayed with the band until their split in 1999. He didn't re-join the band when they reformed in 2004. In 2002, Darlington joined Oasis as a live keyboardist. He toured with the band up until their last tour in the summer of 2009. Noel Gallagher would often introduce Darlington as "The Shroud", or more popularly, "Jesus Christ", a reference to Darlington's hair and facial hair. "Lord Don't Slow Me Down" is a song by English rock band Oasis (band), Oasis. The song was released as a download-only single on 21 October 2007 and was also released on a limited edition 12-inch single in promotion of the release of Oasis' rockumentary of the same name, ''Lord Don't Slow Me Down''. The song debuted at number ten in the UK Singles Chart, becoming Oasis' 21st UK top 10 and first single by the band not to reach the top 4 since 1994's "Cigarettes & Alcohol". It was also Oasis' first stand alone non-album single since "Whatever (Oasis song), Whatever" in 1994. Written and sung by Noel Gallagher, Gallagher described it as being "one of the best things, like The Who, The Yardbirds and the Jeff Beck Group combined, and it's got two drum solos on it!". ''Lord Don't Slow Me Down'' is a rockumentary film, looking back on British rock band Oasis' ''Don't Believe the Truth'' world tour which took place from May 2005 to March 2006. The film is directed by Baillie Walsh. Shack (band)
Shack are an English band formed in Liverpool, England in 1987. Originally Shack consisted of Mick Head (vocals and guitar), his brother John Head (guitar), Justin Smith ( bass) and Mick Hurst (drums). History The Pale Fountains Before founding Shack, Michael and John Head were in the cult 1980s band The Pale Fountains, and released two albums, ''Pacific Street'' in March 1984 and ''...From Across The Kitchen Table'' in March 1985.
