Big Brother (Israel)
''Big Brother'' ( he, האח הגדול, Transliteration: , ) is the Israeli version of the international reality television franchise ''Big Brother'' created by producer John de Mol in 1997. The show is broadcast since 2008, following the premise of other versions of the format, the show features a group of contestants, known as "Housemates" who live together in a specially constructed house that is isolated from the outside world. The housemates are continuously monitored during their stay in the house by live television cameras as well as personal audio microphones. Throughout the competition, housemates are evicted from the house. The last remaining Housemate wins the competition and is awarded a cash prize. The show was firstly produced by Keshet and aired on Channel 2 from 2008 to 2017 and ran for eight original seasons and two celebrity seasons. Channel 2 (Israeli TV Channel)
Channel 2 ( he, ערוץ שתיים, Arutz Shtaim), also called "The Second Channel" ( he, הערוץ השני, HaArutz HaSheni) was an Israeli commercial television channel. It started doing experimental broadcasts funded by the television tax. The channel started commercial broadcasting on 4 November 1993 regulated and managed by The Second Authority for Television and Radio. In its first years, the channel was operated by three broadcasters (" Keshet", "Reshet", and "Telad"), and in 2005 only two broadcasters were left while "Telad" stopped broadcasting due to its loss in the Second Authority's auction. Shimshon "Shimi" Tavori ( he, שימי תבורי; born February 9, 1953) is an Israeli singer. He performs mostly in Hebrew but also in French. Biography Shimshon Tawili was born in Ness Ziona, Israel, to a Yemenite-Jewish family. He was the youngest of seven children. Zehava Ben (born Zehava Benisti; he, זהבה בן; November 8, 1968) is an Israeli singer. Ben is one of the most popular Israeli female vocalists in the Mizrahi music genre; the Middle Eastern-style of singing rising from Israel's Mizrahi Jewish population, dominating Israeli music in the 1990s and popular ever since. Big Brother is a fictional character and symbol in George Orwell's dystopian 1949 novel ''Nineteen Eighty-Four''.
