Sejm
The Sejm (English: , Polish: ), officially known as the Sejm of the Republic of Poland (Polish: ''Sejm Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej''), is the lower house of the bicameral parliament of Poland. The Sejm has been the highest governing body of the Third Polish Republic since the transition of government in 1989. Along with the upper house of parliament, the Senate, it forms the national legislature in Poland known as National Assembly ( pl, Zgromadzenie Narodowe). The Sejm is composed of 460 deputies (singular ''deputowany'' or ''poseł'' – "envoy") elected every four years by a universal ballot. The Sejm is presided over by a speaker called the "Marshal of the Sejm" (''Marszałek Sejmu''). In the Kingdom of Poland, the term "''Sejm''" referred to an entire two-chamber parliament, comprising the Chamber of Deputies ( pl, Izba Poselska), the Senate and the King. __NOTOC__ Zambrów County ( pl, powiat zambrowski) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Podlaskie Voivodeship, north-eastern Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat and only town is Zambrów, which lies west of the regional capital Białystok. The county covers an area of . As of 2019 its total population is 43,663, out of which the population of Zambrów is 22,098 and the rural population is 21,565. Kazimierz Gwiazdowski (born June 10, 1962, in Radziłów) is Polish politician, farmer and local government official, member of the Sejm of the 5th, 6th, 8th and 9th term. Biography He has secondary technical education (in 1982 he graduated from the Technical Secondary School of Water Reclamation in Białystok, and previously from 1969 to 1977 he attended the Primary School in Mścichy).
