Bhuwan K.C.
Bhuwan K.C. ( ne, भुवन केसी; , born: 17 September 1956) is a Nepali actor, director, producer, singer, and politician known for his work in Nepali cinema. He has started career through Radio Nepal as a childhood artist. He was among the most commercially successful Nepali actors of the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. He is also a current chairman of Film Development Board, he was appointed for this position on 26 July 2022. Film Career K.C. started his career at the age of 10 as a singer for Radio Nepal with songs such as " Jage jage Sara raat " "aru rail ko kalo dhuwale " "Mayalu timi tadha". His debut movie was ''Juni'' (1981) but it was the 1982 release ''Samjhana'' (1983) that helped establish him as a successful actor. Online Khabar is an independent private online news portal of Nepal established in 2006, providing news in Nepali and English languages. There is no print available from this media house. In 2014, it was one of the top 10 web news portal in Nepal. By 2020, it became the most viewed news portal from Nepal. The rise in online viewing of online newspapers including Online Khabar has been partially attributed to the Gorkha earthquake of 2015 during which the print media had stopped. The Supreme Court of Nepal ( ne, सर्वोच्च अदालत) is the highest court in Nepal. 2022 Kathmandu Municipal Election
Municipal election for Kathmandu took place on 13 May 2022, with all 162 positions up for election across 32 wards. The electorate elected a mayor, a deputy mayor, 32 ward chairs and 128 ward members. An indirect election will also be held to elect five female members and an additional three female members from the Dalit and minority community to the municipal executive. Background Kathmandu was established as a municipality in 1919. After the formulation of the 1951 Municipality Act, the first municipal elections were held in Nepal and Janakman Shrestha became the first elected mayor of Kathmandu.
