Bhausaheb Ubale
Bhausaheb Ubale, (b. 1936 in the Satara district, Maharashtra, India – d. 14 March 2012, Pune, India) was an Indian-born Canadian human rights activist. Ubale received a Master of Arts degree in 1971 from the University of Leeds and a Ph.D. in 1975 from the University of Bradford. From 1978 to 1985, he was a Commissioner on the Ontario Human Rights Commission. From 1986 to 1989, he was a Commissioner on the Canadian Human Rights Commission. He is the author of ''Equal Opportunity and Public Policy'' (1978), a report submitted to the Attorney General of Ontario, and ''Politics of Exclusion: Multiculturalism or Ghettoism'' (1992, ). The University of Toronto Press is a Canadian university press founded in 1901. Although it was founded in 1901, the press did not actually publish any books until 1911. The press originally printed only examination books and the university calendar. Its first scholarly book was a work by a classics professor at University College, Toronto. The Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC) was established in 1977 by the government of Canada.
