Bhanu Bharti
Bhanu Bharti (born 1947) is an Indian theatre director and playwright, and the founder-director of ''Aaj Rangmandal'' theatre group. Most known for his theatre productions and choreographies with tribal and folk artists, including ''Pashu Gayatri'' by K.N. Panikkar, ''Kaal Katha'' and ''Amar Beej'', all are based on rituals of the Bhil, Bhil tribe of Mewar region of Rajasthan, apart from ''Chandrama Singh urf Chamku Das'', ''Yamgatha'' and ''Aks-Tamasha'', counting to over 70 plays in a career spanning nearly four decades. Early life and education Bhanu Bharti was born in 1947 in Ajmer, Rajasthan. He graduated from National School of Drama in 1973, winning the Best all Round student and the best Director awards. Later he studied traditional theatre of Japan at the University of Tokyo. Career He has over fifty productions to his credit. Ajmer
Ajmer is one of the major and oldest cities in the Indian state of Rajasthan and the centre of the eponymous Ajmer District. It is located at the centre of Rajasthan. Nikolai Vasilyevich Gogol; uk, link=no, Мико́ла Васи́льович Го́голь, translit=Mykola Vasyliovych Hohol; (russian: Яновский; uk, Яновський, translit=Yanovskyi) ( – ) was a Russian novelist, short story writer and playwright of Ukrainian origin. Gogol was one of the first to use the technique of the grotesque, in works such as " The Nose", " Viy", "The Overcoat", and "Nevsky Prospekt". These stories, and others such as " Diary of a Madman", have also been noted for their proto-surrealist qualities. According to Viktor Shklovsky, Gogol's strange style of writing resembles the "ostranenie" technique of defamiliarization. Sangeet Natak Akademi (The National Academy of Music, Dance and Drama in English) is the national level academy for performing arts set up by the Government of India. History It was set up by the Indian education ministry on 31 May 1952 and became functional the following year, with the appointment of its first chairman, Dr. P. V. Rajamannar.
