''Between Eleven and Midnight'' (French: ''Entre onze heures et minuit'') is a 1949 French mystery crime film directed by Henri Decoin and starring stars Louis Jouvet, Madeleine Robinson and Monique Mélinand.Palmer & Michael p.221 Yvette Etiévant appears in an early role. It was shot at the Billancourt Studios in Paris. The film's sets were designed by the art director Emile Alex. Synopsis The lifeless body of a smuggler is discovered in Paris, killed shortly before midnight. Henri Decoin
Henri Decoin (18 March 1890 – 4 July 1969) was a French film director and screenwriter, who directed more than 50 films between 1933 and 1964. He was also a swimmer who won the national title in 1911 and held the national record in the 500 m freestyle. He competed in the 400 m freestyle at the 1908 Summer Olympics and in the water polo tournament at the 1912 Summer Olympics. Biography During World War I, Decoin served as a pilot. Jacques Roux (, 21 August 1752 – 10 February 1794) was a radical Roman Catholic priest who took an active role in politics during the French Revolution. He skillfully expounded the ideals of popular democracy and classless society to crowds of Parisian sans-culottes, working class wage earners and shopkeepers, radicalizing them into a revolutionary force. Jean Meyer (born February 8, 1942) is a Mexican historian and author of French origin. He has published extensively on the Cristero War and on the caudillo Manuel Lozada. Biography Jean Meyer was born in Nice. He obtained bachelor's and master's degrees at the Sorbonne University. He has taught at Sorbonne, Perpignan, the University of Paris, the Colegio de México, the Colegio de Michoacán, and the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas.
