''Best Selection 2010'' is the first Japanese greatest hits album from South Korean pop group Tohoshinki, released in Japan on February 17, 2010, by Rhythm Zone. It contains songs from their albums '' Heart, Mind and Soul'' (2006), '' Five in the Black'' (2007), '' T'' (2008) and '' The Secret Code'' (2009). It also features four new singles, two of which are certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). ''Best Selection 2010'' is the final album release by the group with its original five-member lineup. Three editions of the album were available: a 2- CD+DVD version, a CD+DVD version, and a CD only version. TVXQ
TVXQ (stylized as TVXQ!), an initialism for Tong Vfang Xien Qi (), is a South Korean male pop duo consisting of U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin. They are known as in Japanese releases, and are sometimes referred to as DBSK, an abbreviation of their Korean name Dong Bang Shin Ki (). Their name roughly translates to "Rising Gods of the East". Formed by SM Entertainment in 2003, TVXQ began as a five-member boy band composed of members U-Know Yunho, Max Changmin, Hero Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun, and Xiah Junsu. They were immediately launched to mainstream recognition following the release of their first physical single "Hug" (2004), which peaked at number four on the MIAK monthly music chart. The DualDisc is a type of double-sided optical disc product developed by a group of record companies including MJJ Productions Inc., EMI Music, Universal Music Group, Sony BMG Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, and 5.1 Entertainment Group and later under the aegis of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It featured an audio layer intended to be compatible with CD players (but too thin to meet Red Book CD Specifications) on one side and a standard DVD layer on the other. In this respect it was similar to, but distinct from, the DVDplus developed in Europe by Dieter Dierks and covered by European patents. , released on July 16, 2008, is Tōhōshinki's 23rd Japanese single. Approximately two months prior to the official release of the song, a leak of the recording grossed many hits on the internet. On July 22, 2008, Tohoshinki became the first non-Japanese Asian artist to have three number one hits on the weekly Oricon singles chart, when their single "Dōshite Kimi o Suki ni Natte Shimattandarō?" attained the number one position with weekly sales of 68,417 copies. After Tohoshinki's invitation and performance in the prestigious Japanese year-end music festival, Kōhaku Uta Gassen, the group saw a surge in sales yet again in 2009 as well as interest in the music video on online streaming sites from Japanese viewers. ''Mirotic'' is the fourth Korean studio album (seventh overall) by South Korean pop group TVXQ, released on September 26, 2008, by SM Entertainment. This is the group's last Korean album to feature members Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu. The album was a major commercial breakthrough and is TVXQ's most critically successful album to date. The best-selling album of 2008, ''Mirotic'' debuted atop the Hanteo charts and sold 110,000 albums in one week, setting the record for one-week sales in South Korea on that chart.
