Gomo (Paulo Gouveia) is an indie pop musician from Portugal. He had two hits in 2004 in Portugal with "Feeling Alive", "I Wonder" and in 2009, "Final Stroke". 2001–2004: Early career and "The Best Of Gomo" When Portugal's radio listeners first encountered the genre-blending, Cornelius (musician), Cornelius-like sounds of Gomo, they were entranced. It was 2001 and Gomo's Demo tape, demo was put into regular rotation, but the DJs were of no help when listeners phoned in, asking, "Where can I get this lovely and strange music?" Paulo Gouveia, the man who is Gomo, had sent the demo to radio stations with no contact information – just a note saying: "Thanks for all the inspiration. Hope you like this." Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. ''Nosy'' is the second studio album of the Portuguese pop rock singer Gomo. It was released in 2009 in Portugal. '' Final Stroke'' was the first rack to be released from the album. The album's songs are performed by Gomo (lead vocals), Mário Barreiros (acoustic guitar, producer, mastering, drums, bass), Pedro Oliveira, (backing vocals), Mario Santos (saxophone) and Manuel Simões (guitar). Production ''Nosy'' was produced in a style that differed from Gomo's previous album, '' Best of Gomo''. The aim was to make an album that sounded positive and colourful with bold vocals, varied arrangements and surprises for the listener. Feeling Alive
Cyprus participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 with the song "Feeling Alive" performed by Stelios Constantas. The song was written by Constantas, who had previously attempted to represent the nation at the contest after taking part in the in and selection processes. The Cypriot entry for the 2003 contest in Riga, Latvia was announced on 11 February 2003, having been selected internally by a three-member committee assembled by the country's public broadcasting service Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC). To promote the entry, the song was released as a CD single and to radio and television stations within both Cyprus and Greece. Internationally, it was also performed in Malta, Latvia, Poland and Spain in the lead up to the contest. Cyprus was drawn to compete ninth in the contest, held on 24 May, 2003.
