Berthierville ()(also called Berthier-en-haut, and legally called Berthier before 1942) is a town located between Montreal and Trois-Rivières on the north shore of the Saint Lawrence River in Quebec, Canada. Berthier County was a municipal county of Quebec which existed between 1855 and 1 January 1982. Berthier (Province Of Canada Electoral District)
Berthier was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly of the Parliament of the Province of Canada, in Canada East, on the north shore of the Saint Lawrence River. It was created in 1841, based on the previous electoral district of the same name for the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada. Berthier was represented by one member in the Legislative Assembly. It was abolished in 1867, upon the creation of Canada and the province of Quebec. Boundaries Berthier electoral district was located on the north shore of the Saint Lawrence River, between Montreal and Trois-Rivières, in the area now known as D'Autray Regional County Municipality. The town of Berthier was the main town in the electoral district. The '' Union Act, 1840'' merged the two provinces of Upper Canada and Lower Canada into the Province of Canada, with a single Parliament. The separate parliaments of Lower Canada and Upper Canada were abolished.

Berthier is a provincial electoral district in the Lanaudière region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It notably includes the municipalities of Lavaltrie, Saint-Félix-de-Valois, Lanoraie, Saint-Jean-de-Matha, Berthierville, Saint-Alphonse-Rodriguez, Saint-Gabriel and Saint-Gabriel-de-Brandon. It was created for the 1867 election (and an electoral district of that name existed earlier in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada and the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada). Berthier (electoral District)
Berthier was a federal electoral district in the Canadian province of Quebec that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1867 to 1925. It was created by the ''British North America Act'', 1867, and was abolished in 1924 when it was merged into Berthier—Maskinongé riding. A second "Berthier" riding was created in 1966.
