Bernard Guyot
Bernard Guyot (19 November 1945 – 28 February 2021) was a French road cyclist. His sporting career began with U.S. Creteil. As an amateur he competed in the individual road race at the 1964 Summer Olympics, won the Peace Race in 1966, and placed fourth in the team time trial at the 1966 UCI Road World Championships. In 1967 he turned professional and won 10 races before retiring in 1974. He raced the Tour de France in 1968-1972, placing 27th in 1968 and 28th in 1971. In the national professional road championship, Guyot placed second in 1972 and third in 1969. His father Bernard Sr. and brothers Claude and Serge were also competitive cyclists. Savigny-sur-Orge
Savigny-sur-Orge (, literally ''Savigny on Orge'') is a commune in the southern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 19.1 km (11.9 mi) from the center of Paris in the département of Essonne. During the 2005 civil unrest in France, Savigny was the first city to implement a curfew. It is home to the Jean-Baptiste Corot High School, a twelfth-century château converted into a school and the former property of Marshal Davout. Inhabitants of Savigny-sur-Orge are known as ''Saviniens''. Writer Patrick Erouart-Siad (born 1955 in Savigny) won the 1993 Prix Ève Delacroix of the Académie française. Louis-Nicolas Davout, a military commander under Napoleon, died in Savigny-sur-Orge, and one of the squares bears his name. French National Road Race Championships
The French National Road Race Championship is a cycling race where the French cyclists decide who will become the champion for the year to come. The event was established in 1899, a professional championship was established in 1907 and the women's championship was established in 1951. Several additional categories were added later. The record for victories is by one of the best female cyclists, Jeannie Longo, who has so far won 20 road championships. The winners of each event are awarded with a symbolic cycling jersey which is blue, white and red, just like the national flag, these colours can be worn by the rider at other road racing events in the country to show their status as national champion. The champion's stripes can be combined into a sponsored rider's team kit design for this purpose. Le Samyn
Le Samyn is an annual single-day road bicycle race in Belgium, held usually in late February or early March. The event was created in 1968 as ''Grand Prix de Fayt-le-Franc'', named after the former municipality where it started and finished. In 1970 it was renamed ''Grand Prix José Samyn'' as a tribute to José Samyn, the race's first winner who died in a race accident in 1969. Johan Capiot holds the record with three wins. History Since 2005, the race is included in the UCI Europe Tour as a 1.1 event. It is the first race of the season in Wallonia, held on the Tuesday after its Flemish counterpart, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. Circuit D'Auvergne
The Circuit de Charade, also known as Circuit Louis Rosier and Circuit Clermont-Ferrand, is a motorsport race track in Saint-Genès-Champanelle near Clermont-Ferrand in the Puy-de-Dôme department in Auvergne in central France. The circuit, built around the base of an extinct volcano, was known for its challenging layout which favored the most skillful drivers and motorcyclists.
