Brad Benson
Brad William Benson (born November 25, 1955 in Altoona, Pennsylvania) is a former professional American football player. He was an offensive lineman with the New York Giants of the National Football League from 1978 to 1988 and was a pivotal member of the 1986 Giants team that defeated the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXI. Benson was selected to play in the 1986 Pro Bowl. Benson played college football at Penn State University from 1974 to 1976 and attended Altoona Area High School. He was drafted by the New England Patriots in the eighth round of the 1977 NFL Draft but never played for the team. He resides in Flemington, New Jersey. Bernard Olabinjo "Bobby" Benson (11 April 1922 – 14 May 1983) was an entertainer and musician who had considerable influence on the Nigerian music scene, introducing big band and Caribbean idioms to the Highlife style of popular West African music. Life Bernard Olabinjo Benson was born on 11 April 1921 in Ikorodu, Lagos State, into an aristocratic family. His older brother T. O. S. Benson (1917–2008) would become a successful politician. Robert William Benson (9 February 1883 – 19 February 1916) was an English professional footballer, who played as a full back. Born in Whitehaven, Cumbria he spent the majority of his professional career with Sheffield United but also had spells with Southampton and Woolwich Arsenal. He gained a solitary England cap in 1913 as well as representing The Football League and undertaking an FA tour of South Africa but died as a result of playing a football match in 1916. Bill Benson (rugby League)
William Henry Benson (1893-1968) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1910s and 1920s. Career Bill "Binghi" Benson was a pioneer halfback in the early years of the NSWRFL. He played halfback for the Glebe Dirty Reds for ten seasons between 1916 and 1924. Benson played in the 1922 NSWRL grand final for Glebe against North Sydney which ended in a 35–3 loss at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Benson then switched to St. George for his final season with his Glebe team-mate Frank Burge, and the two of them took St George to the 1927 Final after the club got the wooden spoon the year before. He represented New South Wales on five occasions between 1921 and 1924, but was never selected to play for Australia. Bernard S. Benson (28 January 1922 – 15 May 1996) was a British inventor and author. Biography Benson was a fighter pilot during World War II, and later worked on the design of early British missiles. He emigrated to the United States where at Douglas Aircraft Company., in Santa Monica, California, he worked on the Douglas F4D Skyray fighter and various Douglas missiles. Early in the 1950s, he founded Benson-Lehner Corporation with George F. G. Lehner, a psychology professor at UCLA.
