Bengt Sjöstedt
Bengt Olof Albert "Benkku" Sjöstedt (2 November 1906 – 16 July 1981) was a Finnish hurdler. He equalled the world record for 110 m hurdles in 1931 and competed at the 1928 and 1932 Summer Olympics. Career Sjöstedt was Finland's first international-level 110 m hurdler. He had a habit of toppling one or two hurdles in most races, which cost him several Finnish records; the rules at the time stated a time was invalid for record purposes if any hurdles were knocked down, although disqualification from the race itself wouldn't result unless three or more hurdles were knocked down. In 1926 Sjöstedt placed a close second to Erik Wilén at the Finnish championships; later that year he beat Wilén in a time of 15.3, under Wilén's Finnish record of 15.5, but he knocked down hurdles and thus missed out on a new record. Tenala
Tenala ( fi, Tenhola) is a former municipality in Uusimaa, Finland. It was neighboured by Hanko, Kisko, Perniö, Pohja, Särkisalo and Ekenäs. The municipality was established in 1329. The stone church of Tenala was built in late 15th century and the paintings on the piers are from the 17th century. The bell tower of the church was renovated in 1762. In 1988, Tenala had 2991 inhabitants living in an area of 443.6 km2 and 86.96% of the inhabitants spoke Swedish as their native language. In 1993, the municipality consolidated with Ekenäs. In 2009, Tenala became a part of the newly established city of Raseborg. Erwin Wegner
Erwin Wegner (5 April 1909 – 16 February 1945) was a German athlete, born in Stettin. Wegner won the silver medal at the 1934 European Championships in the 110 metres hurdles and competed in the Olympic Games as both a hurdler and a decathlete. Career At the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles Wegner competed in the 110 m hurdles and the decathlon. In the hurdles he placed third in his heat in 15.1 and qualified for the semi-finals, where he failed to finish. In the decathlon he placed ninth, winning the hurdles in 15.4 ahead of another specialist, Bob Tisdall. At the 1934 European Championships in Turin Wegner won the silver medal in the hurdles in 14.9, losing only to Hungary's József Kovács. Wegner defeated Kovács at the International University Games in Budapest the following year, winning the gold in 14.7. Sciatica is pain going down the leg from the lower back. This pain may go down the back, outside, or front of the leg.
