Ben Turner (cyclist)
Benjamin Elliott Turner (born 28 May 1999) is a British cyclist, who currently ride for UCI WorldTeam . Career In 2021, Turner competed in cyclo-cross and road racing for UCI team . 2022 Ineos Grenadiers On 2 November 2021, it was announced Turner had signed for UCI WorldTeam on a two year contract. His first race with the team was the Vuelta a Andalucía his role was being a Domestique for Carlos Rodríguez who ended up finishing fourth overall. In stage 3, Turner finished fourth after leading out teammate Magnus Sheffield to victory. His next set of races were the Cobbled classics where once again he was in a domestique role. In the Grand Prix de Denain Turner was part of a five man breakaway with teammates Jhonatan Narváez and Sheffield who attacked with 30km to go but sadly were caught by the peloton with 2km to go, with Turner finishing in 41st position. Doncaster
Doncaster (, ) is a city in South Yorkshire, England. Named after the River Don, it is the administrative centre of the larger City of Doncaster. 2022 Gent–Wevelgem
The 2022 Gent–Wevelgem in Flanders Fields was a road cycling one-day race that took place on 27 March 2022 in the provinces of West Flanders and Hainaut in west Belgium. It was the 84th edition of Gent–Wevelgem and the 10th event of the 2022 UCI World Tour. The race was long, and despite the race's name, it started from beneath the Menin Gate in Ypres for the third consecutive year. From the start, the race course headed east towards Kortrijk before heading back towards Ypres, after which it headed as far north as Veurne. There were no climbs in the first of the race, but from Veurne, the race course turned south and roughly followed the Belgium–France border until it reached a series of seven cobblestone sections and nine short hills to the south of Ypres. The Grand Prix De Ster Sint-Niklaas or GP De Ster Sint-Niklaas is a cyclo-cross race held in Sint-Niklaas Sint-Niklaas (; french: Saint-Nicolas, ) is a Belgian city and municipality located in the Flemish province of East Flanders. 2016–17 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup
The 2016–2017 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup – also known as the Telenet UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup for sponsorship reasons – was a season long cyclo-cross competition, organised by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The competition took place between 21 September 2016 and 22 January 2017, over a total of nine events. The defending champions were Wout van Aert in the men's competition and Sanne Cant in the women's competition. Van Aert was able to defend his World Cup title with a round to spare, not finishing any lower than second in the seven races – four wins and three second-place finishes – prior to his crowning. His main rival Mathieu van der Poel was the only other rider to take victories prior to the title being won, taking three straight wins during the season, but he missed several meetings, including the Memorial Romano Scotti in Rome, which allowed van Aert to take the title. The British National Cyclo-cross Championships are held annually. The winners of each event are awarded with a symbolic white cycling jersey featuring blue and red stripes, which can be worn by the rider at other cyclo-cross events in the country to show their status as national champion.
