Ben Rix
Benjamin Rix (born 11 December 1983) is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Rix joined Crewe Alexandra as a schoolboy, signing as a professional in January 2001. He made his debut in October and make 22 appearances in his first season, most as a substitute. The following season, he was more involved with the team starting 17 games and making six appearances as a substitute. He was developing well and was a regular the next season but a number of injuries limited his appearances. The South West Peninsula League (SWPL) is a football competition in England, which was formed in 2007 from the merger of the Devon County League and the South Western League. The league is restricted to clubs based in Cornwall, Devon and West Dorset. The league consists of two Premier Divisions (East and West), which are ranked at Step 6 in the National League System. Until 2019–20, there was a single Premier Division at Step 6, and two divisions at Step 7 (Division One West and Division One East). A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders.
