Ben Green (producer)
Ben Green is a British media and podcast producer, currently head of production for ''Muddy Knees Media''. Green is commonly referred to as ''‘Producer Ben’'' on air. Formerly a producer at ''Channel 4 news'' and LBC Radio, Green spent 11 years as a multimedia producer at ''The Guardian''. Having joined ''The Guardian'' in 2006 he produced the ''Football Weekly'' podcast from its inception until 2017, and also produced over 25 ''Football Weekly'' live shows, including a show for over 2000 people at the London Palladium. He has hosted workshops on how to effectively produce podcasts at events held in London and in Dublin, although they proved unpopular. He also produced an e-book called ''Podcast Master'' which was also serialised in podcast form. It was generally derided by critics and failed to sell in convincing numbers. LBC Radio
LBC (originally the London Broadcasting Company) is a British phone-in and talk radio station owned and operated by Global and based in its headquarters in London. It was the UK's first licensed commercial radio station, and began to broadcast on Monday 8 October 1973, a week ahead of Capital Radio. The launch of LBC also saw the beginning of Independent Radio News broadcasting, as LBC provided the service to independent local radio stations nationwide. LBC broadcast only to London until 2006, at which time it became available, via digital radio, in some other parts of the country. It has been available nationwide since 2014. LBC has a like-branded sister station – LBC News – which is dedicated to rolling news, travel and weather. ''The Guardian'' is a British daily newspaper. It was founded in 1821 as ''The Manchester Guardian'', and changed its name in 1959. Along with its sister papers ''The Observer'' and ''The Guardian Weekly'', ''The Guardian'' is part of the Guardian Media Group, owned by the Scott Trust. It reviews the latest football results and news, and previews forthcoming matches. London Palladium
The London Palladium () is a Grade II* West End theatre located on Argyll Street, London, in the famous area of Soho. The theatre holds 2,286 seats. Of the roster of stars who have played there, many have televised performances. Between 1955 and 1969 ''Sunday Night at the London Palladium'' was held at the venue, which was produced for the ITV network. The show included a performance by The Beatles on 13 October 1963. One national paper's headlines in the following days coined the term "Beatlemania" to describe the increasingly hysterical interest in the band. ''The Totally Football Show'' presented by James Richardson is a thrice weekly podcast about association football produced by Muddy Knees Media. From June 15, 2020 it was incorporated into and also available via The Athletic. It regularly features on lists of the best association football podcasts. History The podcast was an off-shoot of ''The Guardian'' newspaper's '' Football Weekly'' podcast from which presenter Richardson, Producer Ben, and regular contributor Iain Macintosh left in order to create their own product ahead of the 2017–18 season. O2 Forum Kentish Town
The O Forum Kentish Town is a concert venue in Kentish Town, London, England owned by MAMA & Company, and originally built in 1934. History The venue was built in 1934 and was originally used as an art deco cinema. After the cinema was closed, the venue re-opened as an Irish dance hall. In the 1980s, it changed directions from a bingo hall, to dance hall then to a live music venue under the name Town & Country Club. In 1993, Mean Fiddler purchased the venue and renamed it the London Forum. The final show at the T&C was Van Morrison on 21 March 1993. In 2007, MAMA & Company purchased the Forum from Mean Fiddler and spent £1.5 million on renovations, and increasing the capacity to 2,300. In 2015, the venue was acquired by Live Nation, and re-branded as O2 Forum Kentish Town, as part of the O2 Academy Group.
