Ben Cook (golfer)
Ben Cook (born September 29, 1993) is an American professional golfer. Amateur career Cook competed for South Christian High School and Ferris State University. Professional career Cook turned professional in 2017 and played on the PGA Tour Latinoamérica in 2018. He has worked primarily as a club pro since then. Cook made the cut on the number at the 2021 PGA Championship, his third appearance at the event. He previously qualified for the 2019 PGA Championship and 2020 PGA Championship, missing the cut both times. Cook finished T44 in 2021 and earned the Crystal Ball as the low PGA Professional. Cook plays out the Michigan section of the PGA of America. He has also played out of the Northern Ohio section. Michigan PGA Championship
The Michigan PGA Championship is a golf tournament that is the section championship of the Michigan section of the PGA of America. It has been played annually since 1922 at a variety of courses around the state. The 2018 event was noticeable for a nearly-forgotten rule that a participant must have 60 days of membership in the Michigan PGA. Ben Cook had the lowest score and received first place money, but Lee Houtteman was awarded the win and an exemption to the first Rocket Mortgage Classic. Cook was still eligible for entry into the PGA Professional Championship. PGA Cup
The PGA Cup is a men's golf competition for club professionals played between a Great Britain and Ireland team and a United States team. The winning team is presented with the Llandudno Trophy. The competition is run by the British PGA and the PGA of America. It was first played in 1973 and was an annual event until 1984, after which it became biennial. The 2022 event was held at the Foxhills Golf Club in Surrey, England, the second time that the course had been chosen to host the event. 2020 PGA Championship
The 2020 PGA Championship was the 102nd edition of the PGA Championship, and the first of golf's three major championships played in 2020. It was held August 6–9 at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, California, having originally been scheduled for May 14–17. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was the first major played in over a year, and had no spectators in attendance. It was the first major held at Harding Park, which had previously hosted World Golf Championship events in 2005 and 2015, and the 2009 Presidents Cup. The 2021 PGA Championship was the 103rd PGA Championship, held May 20–23 in South Carolina at Kiawah Island Golf Resort's Ocean Course on Kiawah Island.
