Ben Addison
Ben Addison (born 8 January 1985, in Scotland) is a former Scotland Sevens international rugby union player and now coach who played fullback and on the wing for Glasgow Warriors. At university Addison was studying to be a physiotherapist. Amateur career Addison came through the age grades at amateur provincial level playing with Caledonia at U16, U18 and U19 He played for Stirling County. He played in the British & Irish Cup for County. He then moved to Glasgow Hutchesons Aloysians in 2015. Professional career Addison played for Glasgow Warriors in 2005-06 season. He started the match against Ayr. He also started on the bench in the Warriors match against Edinburgh Rugby that same season. He broke into Glasgow's academy squad for season 2006-07. Ayr Rugby Football Club is a rugby union club. Its professional men's side currently plays as Ayrshire Bulls in the Super 6 competition; and its women's side play in the . Hamilton Rugby Football Club is a rugby union club based in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, Scotland. History Established in 1927 as Hamilton Academy FP (former pupils) rugby club, they play their home games at Laigh Bent. The men's side currently compete in ; and the women's side currently compete in . Scotland National Under-20 Rugby Union Team
The Scotland national under-20 rugby union team participates in the World Rugby Under 20 Championship. Their highest placement is 5th which they achieved in the 2017 World Rugby Under 20 Championship. The U20 side also compete in the Six Nations Under 20s Championship. Both tournaments began in 2008 and replaced the Under 19 or Under 21 championships. The World Rugby Under 20 Championship was known as the IRB Junior World Championship up to 2014. Prior to this, there were U19 and U21 tournaments for the World Rugby Championship. There was also a U21 tournament for the Six Nations from 2004. The Under 20 side is now the pinnacle of Scottish Rugby's age-grade system. 2006–07 Glasgow Warriors Season
The 2006–07 season saw Glasgow Warriors compete in the Celtic League and the European Challenge Cup. Season overview After impressive preseason displays, Glasgow Warriors played its first game in the new Celtic League against Newport Gwent Dragons, losing 23–24 after a last minute penalty. Glasgow then did not lose another home game until Ulster came to Hughenden in January 2007. Glasgow drew away to English side Saracens in the European Challenge Cup, en route to a quarter-final berth, but was drawn against Saracens and lost 23–19 at Vicarage Road. The Warriors defeated both Scottish rivals, Edinburgh and Border Reivers, just a week apart, and at the start of April title hopefuls Leinster arrived at Hughenden. Glasgow won the game 26–20, before following it up with a good away win against Irish side Connacht. Edinburgh Rugby (formerly Edinburgh Reivers, Edinburgh Gunners) is one of the two professional rugby union teams from Scotland. The club competes in the United Rugby Championship, along with the Glasgow Warriors, its oldest rival. Edinburgh plays most of its home games at Edinburgh Rugby Stadium. The original Edinburgh District team played the first ever inter-district match against Glasgow District in 1872, winning the match 3–0. 2005–06 Glasgow Warriors Season
The 2005-06 season is the tenth in the history of the Glasgow Warriors as a professional side. Since the professional side began in 1996 it had used a warrior logo; with a warrior clutching a rugby ball in one hand - and in the other a Scottish targe ordained with a long steel spike originating from its central boss. The warrior is wearing a simple Spangenhelm conical peaked nasal helmet illustrating an early warrior from the Kingdom of Strathclyde. The warrior logo was formalised into Glasgow's name from this season onwards. The team was now officially known as Glasgow Warriors and formally competed as such.
