Belgian Mexicans are Mexican citizens of Belgian descent or Belgium-born people living in Mexico. History In the 16th century, Belgian tradespeople traveled to what would become present day Mexico. In 1537, Belgians began Mexico's first brewery. Flemish missionaries operated in the Valley of Mexico. Immigration To Mexico
Immigration to Mexico has been important in shaping the country's demographics. Since the early sixteenth century with the arrival of the Spanish, Mexico has received immigrants from Europe, Africa, the Americas (particularly the United States and Central America), and Asia. Today, millions of their descendants still live in Mexico and can be found working in different professions and industries. During the colonial era, hundreds of thousands of individuals were taken to what would become Mexico; primarily from West Africa, and to a lesser extent, Southeast Asia, these enslaved individuals were not voluntary immigrants. In the 20th century, Mexico also became a country of refuge, in particular accepting individuals fleeing World War II in Europe, the Spanish Civil War and Guatemalan Civil War. German Mexicans
German Mexicans (German: ''Deutschmexikaner'' or ''Deutsch-Mexikanisch'', Spanish: ''germano-mexicano'' or ''alemán-mexicano'') are Mexicans, Mexican citizens of Germans, German descent or origin. Most documented ethnic Germans arrived in Mexico during the mid-to-late 19th century and were spurred by government policies of Porfirio Díaz. Many of them took advantage of the liberal policies in Mexico at the time and went into merchant, industrial, and educational ventures. However, others arrived without any or much capital as employees or farmers. Most settled in Mexico City and the surrounding states of Puebla and Veracruz as well as the northern states of Sinaloa, Jalisco, and Chihuahua. French nationals make up the second largest European immigrant group in Mexico, after Spaniards. Dutch Mexicans
Dutch Mexicans ( es, Neerlandeses-mexicanos; nl, Nederlandse Mexicanen) are Mexican citizens of Dutch descent. The concept and the numbers Mexican citizens of Dutch descent who identify themselves as such would be considered Dutch Mexicans. It is not a category that INEGI measures in its Population Census so the number is unknown. The concept is related to two other, partially overlapping, concepts namely Dutch immigrants to Mexico and residents of Mexico born in the Netherlands. Eugenia Cauduro () (born Eugenia Cauduro Rodríguez on December 20, 1968, in Mexico City, Distrito Federal) is a Mexican actress and former model. Life Eugenia Cauduro is the daughter of Ernesto Cauduro Gemoets and Silvia Rodríguez Porras, and the sister of Adriana Cauduro. Eugenia participated in ballet as a child.
