''Belarmino'' is a 1964 Portuguese docufiction. It charts the life and times of ex-boxer Belarmino Fragoso. It is one of the first films of the Portuguese Cinema Novo, itself part of a wave of New Cinemas sweeping the world in the 1960s, and a break from the previous tradition of Portuguese cinema exemplified by the ''comédia à portuguesa''. Lopes's film was shown at the festivals of Pesaro and Salso-Poretta in Italy, garnered favourable reviews throughout Europe and won the Prémio da Casa da Imprensa back in Portugal. Fernando Lopes, GCIH (28 December 1935 – 2 May 2012) was a Portuguese film director. He was a Film teacher at the Portuguese National Conservatory, nowadays the Lisbon Theatre and Film School (Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema). He died, aged 76, in Lisbon due to throat cancer. The Hot Club of Portugal (Hot Clube de Portugal) is the oldest jazz club in Portugal and has uninterruptedly developed its activity since 1948. It occupies a cellar in Praça da Alegria (Square of Joy) in Lisbon. With an almost daily concert programm the Hot Club of Portugal is an acclaimed cultural entity in Portugal and abroad. Augusto Cabrita (March 16, 1923 – February 1, 1993) was a Portuguese photographer, cinematographer and film director. He is best known as a leading name in photography in Portugal. Career Cabrita was a self-taught photographer. He worked as a photojournalist for the weekly ''O Século'' and their magazine ''O Século Ilustrado'', from Lisbon. He also did the covers of albums by musicians like Amália Rodrigues, Carlos Paredes, Luís Goes and Simone de Oliveira. Def Leppard are an English rock band formed in 1976 in Sheffield.
