Belalı Baldız is the Turkey, Turkish remake of the American sitcom ''Hope & Faith''. The sitcom was produced by Med Productions. It was released in 2005 and aired on ATV (Turkey), ATV Turkey. The show would also air in the Netherlands on RTL 5, with Dutch voice-overs. The stars of the sitcom were Berna Laçin, Nurgül Yeşilçay and Kenan Işık. Sedef Şahin, Cemre Özer and Raffaelle Çedolini played the roles of the children in the family. Kenan (also spelled Qenan, Kaynan or Cainan) (; ar, كِنَاْنْ, Keynān; grc-x-biblical, Καϊνάμ, Kaïnám) is an Antediluvian patriarch first mentioned in the Book of Genesis in the Hebrew Bible. Nurgül Yeşilçay (born 26 March 1976) is a Turkish actress. Biography Nurgül Yeşilçay was born in Afyonkarahisar, Turkey, in 1976. She studied drama at the State Conservatoire of Anadolu University in Eskişehir. Since her graduation, she has performed several major roles for the stage, including Ophelia in ''Hamlet'' and Blanche DuBois in ''A Streetcar Named Desire''. A sitcom, a portmanteau of situation comedy, or situational comedy, is a genre of comedy centered on a fixed set of characters who mostly carry over from episode to episode.
