Beirut Derby
The Beirut derby ( ar, ديربي بيروت) is the name given in football to any match between cross-city rivals Ansar and Nejmeh. It is considered the biggest club football game in Lebanon. The derby has historically been the most anticipated game in Lebanon: both located in Beirut, Nejmeh and Ansar have shared the majority of Lebanese Premier League titles. Indeed Ansar holds 14 league titles, the most in the country, and Nejmeh have won eight, the second most. Ansar leads the head-to-head results in competitive matches with 37 wins to Nejmeh's 34; the two are tied in league wins (22), while Ansar lead in cup wins (15). Fadi Mohammed Ghosson ( ar, فادي محمد غصن; born 15 May 1979) is a Lebanese former professional footballer who played as a striker. Club career Ghosson joined Ansar on 7 April 1999, coming from Olympic Dmit. After having moved to Australia in 2004, he returned to Ansar in 2005. Fadi Alloush
Fadi Alloush ( ar, فادي علوش; born 1 January 1969) is a Lebanese former footballer. Nicknamed "the Bulldozer" ( ar, البلدوزر, link=no), Alloush played as a striker for Ansar for most of his career. He is famous for holding the record for most goals in a Lebanese Premier League campaign, with 32 goals in the 1990–91 season. Alloush is also the highest all-time scorer in the Lebanese Premier League, scoring 120 official league goals. Peter Prosper (born 11 November 1969) is a Trinidadian former footballer who played as a striker. Prosper spent his club career between Trinidad and Tobago and Lebanon, playing for United Petrotrin, Al Ansar, South Starworld Strikers, San Juan Jabloteh, Akhaa Ahli Aley, Al Mabarra, and Racing Beirut. Elhadji Malick Tall
Elhadji Malick Tall (born 25 January 1995) is a Senegalese professional footballer who plays as a striker for club Ansar. After playing for three seasons in Jordan, first for Al-Wehdat and then for Al-Ahli, he joined Lebanese side Ansar in 2017. He was the top scorer in the Lebanese Premier League in his first two seasons, scoring 15 and 20 goals respectively. Ali Nasseredine
Ali Hassan Nasseredine ( ar, علي حسن نصر الدين; born 24 January 1983) is a Lebanese former footballer who played as a striker. He played for the Lebanon national team between 2003 and 2006, scoring eight goals in 19 caps. Coming through from the youth system, Nasseredine made his senior debut for Nejmeh during the 2002–03 season. After eight seasons for the club, with whom he scored 52 league goals, in 2010 Nasseredine moved to cross-city rivals Ansar for one season. The following year, he moved to Jordanian side Al-Jazeera, before joining Bahrain SC in 2012. Khaled Mohamad Takaji ( ar, خالد محمد التكه جي; born 18 November 1986) is a Lebanese footballer and former futsal player who plays as a forward for club Safa. Club career Takaji signed for Lebanese Premier League side Nejmeh's youth sector on 4 August 2000; he was promoted to the first team ahead of the 2006–07 season. The Lebanese Super Cup () is Lebanese football's annual match contested between the champions of the previous Lebanese Premier League season and the holders of the Lebanese FA Cup. If the Lebanese Premier League champions also won the Lebanese FA Cup then the league runners-up provide the opposition. Lebanese FA Cup
The Lebanon Cup (), commonly known as the Lebanese FA Cup, is a Lebanese football annual cup competition. The first edition, held in 1937, was won by Nahda. The most successful club in the competition is Ansar with 15 titles, followed by Nejmeh with seven. Ansar have also contested the most finals with 20, followed by Nejmeh with 16.
