A beer mix usually refers to an alcoholic beverage which also includes one or more other ingredients; the actual beer content is usually 40 to 70 per cent. Popular mix-ins include cola, lemon, or other fruit juices. Today, beer mixes are an established part of German drinking culture and are available in a wide range of flavours and varieties, including non-alcoholic versions. Warsteiner () beer is brewed in the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park outside of Warstein, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Warsteiner has been owned by the Cramer family since 1753. Warsteiner is Germany's largest privately owned brewery; its best selling beer is Warsteiner Premium Verum. Warsteiner ranks fifth among Germany's best selling breweries. History The earliest mention of the brewing company is a tax record from 1753, when Antonius Cramer paid 1 thaler, 19 guilders on beer he brewed and sold himself. Henninger (brewery)
Henninger is a family name that originated in Germany. The name is attested as 'Honigar' from the 13th century in Bavaria, and was borne by members of the nobility of the Holy Roman Empire and by the family that founded the Henninger Brewery. It is most prevalent today in Baden-Württemberg. History There are more than one, seemingly unrelated, Henninger branches from Germany. Seemingly there were branches formed from a variety of spellings in the regions of Hessia, Baden, and Saxony/Bavaria/Bohemia. Brauerei Paderborner is a brewery in the German city of Paderborn. The traditional Westphalian brewery was purchased by the German brewery-major Warsteiner in 1990. The Paderborner beer range The Paderborner brewery was founded in 1852. Since 1990 it has been part of the Warsteiner brewery group. There are two different sorts of Paderborner. The first is simply called "Paderborner Pilsener" and has a rather herbal taste with an unusual sweetness which is actually hops. Paderborner Pilsener Export has a reputation for being of lower quality but also a compromise between price and amount of alcohol (since it has a barely larger amount of alcohol). Rothaus, at the northern edge of the village of Grafenhausen in the southern Black Forest, is one of Germany's most successful and profitable regional breweries. The Wernesgrüner Brewery or Wernesgrüner Brauerei GmbH is a brewery in Steinberg-Wernesgrün, Saxony, Germany. The brewery was founded in 1436 when the brothers Schorer acquired the rights to brew and open a tavern. After establishing property for bottling they soon began brewing on what would become the foundations of the "Wernesgrüner Pils Legend". It is known as the aforementioned "Pils Legend," because it was a bitter specialty during the communist period in the DDR. Hasseröder
Hasseröder is a brewery in Wernigerode, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. History The company started in 1872, founded by Robert Hoppe under the name ''zum Auerhahn'' ("the Capercaillie"), in the Wernigerode district of Hasserode. In 1882 Ernst Schreyer assumed control of the brewery. In 1896 the brewery became a stock company (''Aktiengesellschaft'', AG), and in the same year put out 25,000 hectoliters of beer. It was renamed ''Hasseröder Brauerei'' in 1920. The brand remained in existence, when Wernigerode became part of East Germany after World War II, marketed predominantly in the Magdeburg district.
