''Because I Love You'' () is the first and only studio album by South Korean singer and songwriter Yoo Jae-ha, released on August 20, 1987, by Seoul Records, three months before the singer's sudden passing. Considered one of the best South Korean pop albums of all time and the first one where a singer wrote, composed, and arranged the songs all by himself, it influenced the music of subsequent generations, starting the evolution of Korean ballads. Background Yoo Jae-ha decided to pursue a solo career in the winter of 1986, at the age of 24, and turned to Kim Hyun-sik's bassist Jo Won-ik for help, presenting him a detailed project of the entire album, with the lyrics, composition and instrumentation of each track already complete. William Larry Stewart II (March 24, 1937 – January 17, 1970) was an American rhythm and blues singer and pianist who was popular during the 1960s. Biography Stewart was 12 years old when he began singing with his younger brothers Johnny, James, and Frank as the Four Stewart Brothers, and they later went on to get their own radio show every Sunday for five years at WUST in Washington, D.C. He was a graduate of Armstrong High School, now Friendship Armstrong Academy. Stewart made the transition to secular music by filling in occasionally for the Rainbows, a D.C. area vocal group led by the future soul star, Don Covay. It was through the Rainbows that Stewart met another aspiring singer, Marvin Gaye. Release and content The album is split into a studio side and a live side. Of the five studio tracks, four were released as singles, all becoming Top-40 hits in the UK, with "What Do You Want to Make Those Eyes at Me For" charting the highest at number 5, which was his last Top-10 single until the re-entry of "Merry Christmas Everyone" in 2018. The second side, titled 'The Hits Keep Coming...' is a medley of Stevens' previous hits, recorded live at the London Palladium on 7 December 1986. On the original release of the album, the individual songs are chaptered.
