Beach Dash is a 5K obstacle race on a beach that was formerly run by Red Frog Events. The rights to the name and race were sold to an Australian event company because of its failure in the United States. the name is also used by an event in Mustang Island, Texas which also includes longer distances and a children's race. Founding Beach Dash was launched on November 13, 2010 in Daytona Beach, Florida by Red Frog Events, who also puts on Great Urban Race and Warrior Dash Warrior Dash was a 5 km mud run put on by Red Frog Events, an event company based in Chicago, Illinois. The 5000 metres or 5000-metre run is a common long-distance running event in track and field, approximately equivalent to or . It is one of the track events in the Olympic Games and the World Championships in Athletics, run over laps of a standard track. Mustang Island
Mustang Island is a barrier island on the Gulf Coast of Texas in the United States. The island is 18 miles (29 km) long, stretching from Corpus Christi to Port Aransas. The island is oriented generally northeast–southwest, with the Gulf of Mexico on the east and south, and Corpus Christi Bay on the north and west. The island's southern end connects by roadway to Padre Island. At the northern end of the island is Port Aransas, beyond which is San José Island. The Aransas Channel, also known as the "Aransas Pass," which separates Mustang Island from San José Island, is protected by jetties extending into the Gulf from each island. Great Urban Race
The Great Urban Race was an annual event held from 2007 to 2014. Advertised as 'part adventure, part scavenger hunt' it consisted of teams solving clues along a short course of at maximum six miles to be completed in any order. The clues, consisting of mental and physical challenges, required the participants to be at certain locations within the course. They could reach these check points either by foot or using public transport with other methods of transportation disallowed. The winner of the event was the team who solved all clues correctly in the fastest time. The winner, as well as the other teams in the top twenty-five, qualified for a major event held annually, and the grand winner of the finale would receive a $10,000 reward. Warrior Dash was a 5 km mud run put on by Red Frog Events, an event company based in Chicago, Illinois. As of July 31, 2019, Red Frog events is no longer a company and has cancelled all Warrior Dash races and ceased operations. History 2009 The inaugural Warrior Dash took place on July 18, 2009, in Joliet, Illinois, at CPX Sports with 2,000 participants. 2011 The 2011 Warrior Dash season hosted 33 races throughout the U.S. and internationally in Canada and Australia. Boulder Reservoir is located in the northern part of Boulder, Colorado.
