Lima Bay ( es, Bahía de Lima), also known as Miraflores Bay ( es, Bahía de Miraflores), is a bay located of the coast of Lima, Peru. Its shore is located on the central coast of the Lima Province and the southern end of Callao, both part of the Lima metropolitan area, metropolitan area of Lima. Administratively it belongs to both Lima and Callao. Overview The bay is separated from Callao Bay by the Peninsula of La Punta. San Miguel District, Lima
San Miguel is one of the 43 districts that are part of the Lima province and is part of the urban area of Lima, Peru. It is bordered by the districts of Bellavista and downtown Lima on the north; Pueblo Libre, Magdalena del Mar and downtown Lima on the east; the Pacific Ocean on the south; and the La Perla district on the west. It is located 20 to 30 min from the airport (depending on the traffic). San Miguel is an upper-class (65% of its population) and upper-middle class (35%) district with a very high HDI. A bay is a recessed, coastal body of water that directly connects to a larger main body of water, such as an ocean, a lake, or another bay. A large bay is usually called a gulf, sea, sound, or bight. Malecón De Miraflores
The Malecón de Miraflores is an esplanade in the coast of Lima, Peru. It's a major tourist attraction in the city. Overview The malecón crosses the district of Miraflores and is composed of three different sectors: the ''Malecón de la Marina'', the ''Malecón Cisneros,'' and the ''Malecón de la Reserva''. Another two ''malecones'', ''28 de Julio'' and ''Balta'', separate the ''Malecón Cisneros'' from the other two malecones, being connected by the Puente Villena Rey. Miguel Grau
Miguel María Grau Seminario (27 July 1834 – 8 October 1879) was the most renowned Peruvian naval officer and hero of the naval battle of Angamos during the War of the Pacific (1879–1884). He was known as ''el Caballero de los Mares'' (Spanish for "Gentleman of the Seas") for his kind and chivalrous treatment of defeated enemies and is esteemed by both Peruvians and Chileans. Chorrillos District
Chorrillos is a Districts of Peru, district of the Lima Province in Peru and part of the city of Lima. It gets its name from the Spanish language, Spanish word for "trickle of water". The district was founded as San Pedro de los Chorrillos and served as a deluxe beach resort until the late 19th century, when it was almost completely destroyed by Chilean forces during the War of the Pacific. Barranco District
Barranco is one of 43 districts in Lima, Peru. Its current mayor is José Juan Rodríguez Cárdenas. The district is considered to be the city's most romantic and bohemian, being the home and working place of many of Peru's leading artists, musicians, designers and photographers. San Isidro is a district of the Lima Province in Peru. It is located in the west center of the city, it has a few meters of coastline. Officially created on April 24, 1931, San Isidro, along with Orrantia and Country Club districts, was separated from Miraflores. Magdalena Del Mar District
Magdalena del Mar, commonly known simply as Magdalena, is a seaside district of the Lima Province in Peru and one of the districts that comprise the city of Lima.
