Giuseppe Baudoin
Giuseppe Antonio Baudoin was an Italian major of the Third Italian War of Independence and the First Italo-Ethiopian War. He commanded the 9th Africa Infantry Battalion during the Battle of Adwa before being killed in the battle. He was a posthumous recipient of the Gold Medal of Military Valor for his service in the battle. Childhood Giuseppe was born on February 25, 1843 at Nice, Piedmont as the son of Giovanbattista and Sabina Ciabaud. He spent his childhood within Provence and initially took interest in the natural landscapes of Provence. Since he was an only child, his parents were affectionate towards him and Giuseppe spent time within his father's industry. After Nice was annexed by France on November 18, 1860, Baudoin found a personal motivation to volunteer in the Royal Italian Army and was placed at the 19th Infantry Regiment. Jean Baudoin
Jean Baudoin (1662–1698) was a French Sulpician priest who served as a missionary in Acadia, and later as a chaplain during military expeditions carried on by Pierre Le Moyne d'Iberville. Life Jean Baudoin studied at the College of Nantes with the intention of becoming a Musketeers of the Guard, but then decided on an ecclesiastical career, after studying with the Sulpicians was ordained a priest in 1685. As he wished to be a missionary, he went to Acadia. He arrived in Port-Royal in 1688 and soon made his way to Beaubassin, Baudoin had a number of clashes with Governor Joseph Robineau de Villebon. The parishioners complained that he neglected the parish to spend time with the Miꞌkmaq. They also complained of the lack of a regular schedule for Sunday Mass since many had to walk a considerable distance. Mario Jorge Baudoin Weeks (September 4, 1942 – May 18, 2019) was a Bolivian biologist and conservationist known for his research in Bolivia and Costa Rica. He was the first director of Bolivia's national park system, and served as director of several academic and government institutes, including the , the Institute of Ecology at Higher University of San Andrés, Dirección Nacional Conservación de Biodiversidad (DNCB) and the La Selva Biological Station in Costa Rica. In the early 1990s he was involved in the creation of the (SERNAP), which led to the 1995 establishment of Madidi National Park. He received the 2008 Distinguished Services Award from the Society for Conservation Biology. Jean Baudoin (1590–1650), born in the Vivarais region, was a French translator, notable as the first French translator of Torquato Tasso's ''La Gerusalemme liberata'' and as an early member of the ''Académie française'', to which he was elected before 13 March 1634. He died of hunger and cold in 1650, and was succeeded at the Académie by François Charpentier. Baudoin translated from English as well; his translation of Francis Godwin's ''The Man in the Moone'' first appeared in 1648 and went through four subsequent printings. Gervais Baudoin (3 August 1686 – 30 June 1752) was born in Quebec, the son of Gervais Baudouin, a surgeon-major of Quebec. He decided to pursue the medical profession and became a surgeon. Baudoin studied at the seminary of Quebec and then studied and practiced surgery. At one point in his career, he attempted to obtain his father's position as surgeon-major of Quebec but was unsuccessful.
